What is one thing that you would advise an upcoming author regarding outlining his/her novel?

Kellyn Roth Well, it's difficult to choose just one! There are so many things.

I'd say the major thing is not letting outlining keep you from writing. I know some people who just outline and outline and never write the book - but for me at least, there comes a point where you're just delaying. Some things you need to feel out as you're writing.
