which of your characters do you think has the most in common with you? and who was your favourite to write?

Caitlin Starling Jane from THE DEATH OF JANE LAWRENCE is probably the most similar to me, particularly in how she experiences/handles personal relationships and social situations, and how solution-focused she is. (That part of me is definitely in Gyre from THE LUMINOUS DEAD, too.)

For favorite to write, it's (unsurprisingly?) a tie between Jane and Gyre. They're both so very good at trying to take charge of a situation and making it a lot worse. Gyre's physicality in particular was a lot of fun to wrap my brain around, and her anger was as cathartic as her confusion was engaging.
