Rinji
Rinji asked Elizabeth Boyle:

How much research did you do before you started writing your historical romance novel? While you were writing how much research did you do?

Elizabeth Boyle I started off with a story idea--Brazen Angel--which was set during the French Revolution--so I started reading and taking notes about the French Revolution, England at the same time and tried to read as many general histories as I could, as well as biographies. Then as I write a book, I have more plot specific things I need to research--such as for my upcoming short novel, Mad About the Major, I did quite a bit of research into illicit boxing matches--using files I've saved over the years, personal books, and the library. I am often wary of research on the internet--but if I can find it from a reliable source/institution, then I will use it.
