Alessia asked Josephine Angelini:

Totally loved the Starcrossed trilogy, mostly because I'm totally obsessed with Greek mythology. I was wondering what kind of research did you do for that and now what changed in the way you researched for Trial by Fire?

Josephine Angelini I didn't do too much research for Starcrossed. I was a greek myth geek and I knew most of the stuff I wanted to write. For spot references I used Edith Hamilton's book "Greek Mythology". That's where I got Helen's last name, btw. For Firewalker, there was almost no research, except a few Googled words in Native American. I grew up in Massachusetts with the witch trial lore all around me. Eventually, I'm sure I'll have to research a book, but for these first two series I focused on picking topics that I was quite familiar with.
