Soobz asked Laurie Halse Anderson:

Do you have any advice for someone who wants to write a historical fiction?

Laurie Halse Anderson Try to use primary sources as much as possible. Work with historians - have them review your work to make sure you got the history bits right. And have fun!! It takes quite a bit longer to write historical fiction, but the thrill of discovery when you are in archives is SO worth it!
