No questions to be asked, just finished reading, for the 2nd time, "One Thousand White Women". Do believe it was better the 2nd time. Many of my friends have read it and some have used it for discussion in book clubs. It is easily a true story. I think the Indian has been unjustly misused and mistreated then and even in this age?. Thank you for a good book. Giving it to my daughter to read

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the novel for a second time, and that you are passing it on to your daughter. I'm currently hard at work on the second installment of a planned trilogy of which OTWW is the first. I had hoped to see it published in the fall of 2016, but it's looking now more like early 2017. I know the treaty of trading white women for horses never can to be, but are the journals from May Dodd fictional as well. Did she ever live among the indians? It is confusing for me to know the treaty never went through, but the life of your ancestor seems so real.l
