Sofia asked S.E. Smith:

How do you find inspiration for your books? (This one is just a follow up question, if a person is born deaf, what language do they think in?)

S.E. Smith Deaf people think just like everyone else. It depends on their culture and upbringing as to the language. When my father was twelve, he developed Spinal Meningitis. He became deaf due to the fever. He gradually regained partial hearing in his right ear but remained totally deaf in his left. In addition, some people are more visual as well. In some cases, a person may read something and apply it while others read it and 'see' it as it happens. I am a much more visual person and have a terrible time with sounds and letter combinations. My dad was the same and it helped that he was a visual reader as well. He was a wonderful support for me. Hope this helps answer your question.
