Ruth
Ruth asked Melanie Dickerson:

Hello! Let me start off by saying that I LOVE your books! I've been learning about the history of architecture, and I was just wondering what style architecture you use in your books (mainly in your Hagenheim series). Would the buildings be Romanesque style, Gothic style, or something else? Also, in what time period do your Hagenheim books take place? Thank you for writing! Your books are so encouraging! Thanks! :)

Melanie Dickerson Hi, Ruth! The Hagenheim books take place in the 1300's and early 1400's. The architecture is typical of Medieval German buildings. I guess the castles and churches would be mostly Romanesque and Gothic, and the houses would be wattle-and-daub and half-timber and plaster, as well as half-timber and brick.
Thank you, Ruth!
