Hello Micheal, Is there ever going to be much more of a back story on Eshrahaddon? I wasn't the biggest fan of the character, but he intrigued me. Also, one of my favorite aspects of the books is the emotional arc and progression of Royce. Did you intend for him to stay dark through out or did you plan on the progressive arc of his character?

Hey Logan,
Funny you should ask that. I have a number of story ideas that "fills in the gaps" about past history. One of them is tentatively titled: "Fall of Percepliquis" and it shows Esrahaddon as an apprentice Cenzar and his relationship with Jerish and yes...eventually the events that results in the destruction of the empire's capital city. I'm not sure when I'll write this (or even if I will...a lot will depend on if readers are interested in seeing this book -- I have a poll where people vote on such things (http://michaeljsullivan.polldaddy.com...).
As for Royce...a key component for the entire series is his character arc. In many ways it's the core element. So yes, I did plan on showing how he changes. I'm glad you enjoyed being with him through his trials and tribulations.

Michael J. Sullivan:
Hello Michael! I am the author of a debut novel and I wanted to let you know how much you have inspired me. I have completed many of your audiobooks, which Mr. Reynolds narrates, and have loved them. My children enjoy them as well. I told my wife that I aspire to be an author like you someday! Thank you for all the many hours of delightful stories! How did you go about hiring a professional narrator?

Hi, Michael! I have seen that most of your books are in paperback, ebook, and audio but that is not the formats I prefer. So I was wondering if your Riyria series will be released in hardcover anytime in the future?? Also, I am stoked for your First Empire series to come out (already pre-ordered) and they are in hardcover which is a plus for me!!!
