Hey there, Brigid!
Excellent book taste, spotted a few of my favourite classics in your shelves, and Great Expectations is definitely one of them!
But I agree entirely with Kathy, I think you can never be too old to love YA! Heck, i'm 23 and I absolute adore it and I know a dozen of other way beyond thirty who do too! ;)
Also, may I just point out how much I envy your last name? haha
Anywhoo,
I'm Cait, 23 as I mentioned above and I am new to the group as well as good reads. Well, the account is, I just never bothered to make one before, i just read reviews & browsed through books before!
I'm quite in love with YA, a compulsive reader and a passionate writer.
I also do a little blogging, mainly my own photography or inspirational images I come across, artwork, illustrations and poetry here and there.
Books i've recently finished:
Touch by Jus Accarro, loved it, can't actually express how much, (granted, it gets a little hectic in-between, but it's such a sweet and well written story, that you just can't help falling for it. (Especially, for Kale..isn't he just the cutest?)
Books I'm reading right now:
The Fallen Star by dearest Jess Sorensen in preparation for highly anticipated spin off 'Shattered Promises (insert high pitch squeal here)
What a boy wants by Nyrae Dawn,
although slightly obvious plot, super cute first few chapters, adorable and witty characters, definitely recommendable if you feel like something light and fluffy!
And last but not least, Oscar Wilde's The picture of Dorian Grey
Must read Classic, think that's really all there is to say. (that's a lie, but if I start, i'll never be able to finish this!)
Anywayss, can't wait to start chatting books with you guys and hopefully no one will be too shy too say hey! Looking forward to comparing books!
Happy reading.

I'm Marina Latcko, a YA author from Russia. As Stacey, I have always been more eager to live in fictional worlds, immerse into the adventures and lives of the characters, so that's why my transition into the reality happened to be quite stressful. But I successfully got over the obstacles :) gaining the valuable experience, which was the reason to try to pass my knowledge to others.
My next passion after reading almost everything from philosophy, sci-fi, John Fowles, Rowling, Russian and French classical literature, Dan Brown, Isaak Azimov, the Strugatsky brothers, etc, is traveling the world. Some of my favorite places are Colorado, Arizona, and Italy (Tuscany).
My best book ever is yet to appear, but you don't believe it :) it's very close to my own.
I love cats, and teach kids English, as well as teach them life.
My fav color is silver grey.
I would be happy to be among you, guys, it's so inspiring to meet people who know how to dream and believe!
If you have a look at my book Aurora: Secrets behind Reality and give some feedback, that would be awesome!

Marina Latcko
