I loved Graceling! I'm not usually a huge High Fantasy reader but I thought it was a fantastic story!

Po and Katsa just clicked so well as main characters for me and the story was something I've never really read before which is always a plus.
I've been telling myself I need to read Game of Thrones for a while just can't bring myself to start a 5+ book series with something like 1,000 pages each lol

My favorite authors are Christopher Pike, Stephanie Meyer, L.J Smith.
I love the book Remember me (and highly recommend it to those who have never read it)

My favorite color is purple and I LOVE coffe :)

Welcome to the group Kathy. Checking out your book blog now, it looks so cool :D lol i wish i had friends that actually liked to read so we could have a collab blog

LOL Thanks so much!

Favorite Genre: Young Adult, Sci-fi, Fantasy, and anything that doesn't suck. Some post apocalyptic stuff too. Oh and historical romance, but not the smutty stuff.
I don't particularly have a favorite author, but my favorite book this year is Park and Eleanor and if you find me. I really enjoy books where abused children come through everything ok and not completely fubar, because I am one. The after effects are monumental and they touch me on a level that is profound.
I am a VERY quick reader but not a SPEED reader. I have read over 52 books since binge reading started on May 31st to present. I am a complete-ist; I have to complete ALMOST any book/series I start. The ONE exception right now is InkDeath and I will eventually force myself to read it. :( ick.
And I LOVE this book club. It has brought me joy and forced me to reach out of my box. Books I think that are gonna suck, don't and I have started trusting you more. (Except Mortal Instruments, that sucked and I will never get that time back. I still want to punch someone in the face or junk over that...).
I love this book club and look forward to enjoying you all much more.
Welcome to the group, everyone! I hope y'all will like it as much as I do!

I'm Chelsea (pronounced Chel-see-uh) and I'm 24. I love writing, drawing, and photography. I grew up a James Bond fan, and my first novel - which will be published June 1 - reflects that obsession. In

I live in the Chicago suburbs and have a background in newspapers, spending 25 years as a film critic. Like many writers with a background in newspapers, I no longer work at a newspaper and have been getting by as a freelance writer. When a friend suggested I write a teenage spy novel, I realized that was the one type of book I was most qualified to write. Right away, though, I knew I didn't want to write about a teenager in spy training or who has a father or uncle who is a spy. That's been done before, many times.
It occurred to me that no one had yet used the Hitchcock approach to a teenage spy story, taking a "civilian" and throwing him into a world of spies and criminals. The title "The Boy Who Knew Too Much" instantly popped into my head and I was running. Six Days of the Condor was a major inspiration at the start, and after the first few chapters I realized I was writing a modern version of Treasure Island with spies instead of pirates.
Feel free to become my Goodreads friend. If you want to learn more about me and my book, check out my website: www.jeffreywesthoff.com. "The Boy Who Knew Too Much" is coming June 1 from Intrigue Publishing. I am now working on my second novel, which is still a spy story but will be aimed at a younger audience.

I'm new to Good Reads as an author, so I suppose I should tell a little bit about myself.
Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and from the young age of five, I started creating my first works of literature although they were, as to be expected, quite bad.
As I grew older, I began expanding my writing abilities, attempting short stories and chapter books until I finally worked up to finishing two books by the age of 14.
Once I took and completed the two year course at the Institute of Children's Literature, that is when I began to take my writing much more seriously and within a year of graduating, I started on what is now my first finished and published book: Devoted to October.
Some of the authors and books that have inspired me are: John Green, Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why, and Ellen Hopkins!

Thank you for the warm welcome!!
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I love learning and gaining insight from everyone all over!
This is Charlena Jackson and I just released a book called No Cross No Crown Trust God Through the Battle.
Thank you kindly for the opportunity to highlight my book No Cross No Crown Trust God Through the Battle to the public eyes and ears. I am beyond grateful!
My book is equipped to embolden people to walk with Jesus in their work place and in their life by accepting challenges as blessings oppose to looking at their challenges as a curse. Many people do not understand or accept that challenges are there to strengthen and rebuilt.
Some people are afraid to accept growth—Our challenges helps us to grow, to become wiser, and learn from our mistakes. Expecting our challenges helps us to rebuilt our foundation that need to be refine/tune and/or at times our foundation needs to be torn down so that one may start from scratch.
No Cross No Crown Trust God Through the Battle is an uplifting inspirational book that helps people to see that if they trust and believe all things will work out for the good. God doesn’t make any mistakes. We might question Him, however, He knew exactly what He was/is doing, because all will unfold after the battle is won.
No Cross No Crown Trust God Through the Battle may be purchased on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles:

Here is the introduction to my book No Cross No Crown Trust God Through the Battle.
INTRODUCTION
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Life is full of surprises. We find ourselves free-falling as we love freely; rejoicing in giving and not looking for any- thing in return; smiling without expecting to grieve; laughing not knowing pain is right around the corner. When clouds begin to block the sunlight and the storm is on the way, we move toward shelter because we know when it rains it pours. When rain destroys the life we have built, it is hard for some of us to start over. We may think starting over is a bad thing; however, we never take time out to have a clear under- standing of why the rain took its course. We begin to think the worst of a bad situation because the thunder shook our confidence, the lightning struck our fears into action, the rain flooded our happiness, and the clouds clouded our train of thought to the point we cannot think clearly.
Sometimes we find ourselves headed down a one-way street; sooner or later we going to have to make a decision to turn left or right. We need to take the right steps, and use the advantage of the clouds so we can see clearly because the sun can be too bright and hinder our ability to see. That is when we have to step back and reevaluate our life and under- standing the meaning of No Cross No Crown.
