"Oh," she said unhappily. "I have to go modeling," she said.

Caution and X23 (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] gathered in a secret base in the building. It was located three sub-sections below the huge complex and allowed for top secret missions and or discussion to take place. The girls, both products of the weapon X program, looked at each other. Neither smiled nor frowned. A long tunnel beneath the ground connected the base and the Batcave.
"Should we get going?" Laura asked Caution. Caution shrugged and approached the tunnel heading, followed by X23 who stole one last glance at the base before heading to the cave.

(IF your character is involved in Ultron plot, you should have them follow the base of X23 and Caution. Either they catch up to the girls or are heading to the tunnels)

"So umm. I was just going to grab lunch-wanna come?"

"I'm sorry," She said. "But I must go, I -," She paused, "I'll be busy," With that she walked towards the cave. Once out of sight, Mystique shifted into Captain America and joined the heroes in the Transcendence cave

Ford sighed. Everyone else got to go fight and protect the world, he had to stay here and do nothing.

Ford wandered around what he assumed was an empty base. He was supposed to be exercising as much as he could, so he went to the gym. If no one was there, no one could see him making a fool of himself. He went over to a bar to try pull-ups. Ford lifted himself out of the chair, and over the bar once. He was more out of shape than he had thought. After doing a few more, he dropped back down into the wheelchair.

Ford practiced doing more magic tricks in the gym.

Mystique returned, still posing as a model. "Ford!" She exclaimed.

Bradley Whitaker was the newest member of the Guild and was still learning his way around. That probably explains why he ended up in the gym when he was trying to find the kitchen. Or it could have been the fact that he was slithering around as a snake and his senses had been thrown out of whack by something. Either way, he slithered into the gym and up onto a wheelchair.

Mystique screamed when she saw the snake. But after a moment, she found it really cute and picked it up.

Bradley didn't like being picked up unexpectedly no mater what he was posing as. He shifted into a spider and crawled up her arm towards her face.

Mystique shifted into her blue apperance and caught the spider and put it in her hands once again. "What are you?" She asked.

Bradley bit her hand and used webbing to get down to the ground and back to the wheelchair.

Mystique quickl healed herself. "Jerk!" She cried out.

Bradley shifted back into a snake and stayed on the arm of the wheelchair. He hoped that the person using it wouldn't mind.

Ford laughed. "To be honest you kindof deserved it."

Mystique narrowed her eyes at ford, her eyes welling up in tears, "Your just like thr rest of them!" She shouted thinking he referred to her blue appearance. She was incredible insecure as it was.

((I literally just posted. I was getting a cupcake)

Bradley dropped down and shifted to himself. "No, luv. I believe he's referring to the fact that you picked me up without permission." He had a thick British accent even though he hasn't been back home in 10 years.

"That IS what I was referring to." Ford made a tiny lightning bolt between his fingertips.

"See? Anyway I was trying to find the cafe but ended up here in what appears to be the gymnasium instead. Do you think you could help a bloke out?" he asked Ford.

"Well you really are new. And obviously have a terrible sense of direction." Ford paused. "Yeah I'll help ya, follow me." He proceeded to move into the hallway.

"I joined 4 days ago and just got here 2 nights ago. Besides, my sense of direction lead me in there to you so it can't be that bad." He replied following close behind.

Ford tried to wipe the small grin off his face. He kinda liked this guy. "Behold the cafeteria." Ford opened the doors.

"Thanks. I'm Bradley Whittaker by the way. I prefer Brad or Whitt however. And you are?"

"Ford. Well actually Stanford Rasinsky but just call me Ford. You're a shapeshifter, yeah?"

"Yeah. Any animal I've seen before I can become. Any ability that animal happens to have I then inherit. Pretty bloody useless most of the time. What about you? You're a magician right?"

"Technically a Spellcaster. Magician is a fancy name for party tricks. Sorcerers are the highest ranking. Aka not me."

"Sorry didn't realize there was a difference. Why aren't you a Sorcerer?"

"You need to be able to do the impossible to become a sorcerer. I can barely use low level fighting spells. Well right now anyways..." Ford got a sandwich. "Stephen strange comes by here occasionally. Supreme sorcerer. Damn. That guy can create worlds from magic.

"I have a hard time believing that that's all you can do." Brad had a way of looking past ones disabilities and seeing their potential. He could see that Ford could be a great sorcerer. He just needed some help.

"Right now." Ford snapped back at him. "I'm relearning spells, okay? I was better a year ago."

Mystique came back, in a mood and upset. But she couldnt help but wish to defend Ford, "So about that lunch," She said.

"Whoa mate! Calm down. I just meant that you should keep it up and not get discouraged. You have a lot of potential and determination. You'll make it." Brad placed a hand on Ford's shoulder.

"Thanks..." Ford smiled. He knew Mystique was into him, but this Brad guy was nice. Very nice.

There it goes again, Mystique thought angrily. "You're just like every other man out there-manipulative with a side of ignorant!" She yelled at him, angered.

Brad smiled and waved it off. "Don't mention it. We're all in this together right?"

Ford looked at her. "What the hell are you talking about? You left me in a hallway after talking for a few minutes then get mad at me for just talking to someone else?"

"Your ignorant like any other man out there!" She said

"What the f**k are you talking about. That you like me? Cause I can tell, it's just that I don't dive head first into someone that I barely know. And don't just group all men together, I don't do that to women!"

"Your a little vindictive man in a wheelchair! You deserve to be there if you ever thought I liked you! It's this thing called sympathy-," she slapped him, "Learn some!" Before running off.

Ford began laughing. Sort of. He couldn't believe what had just happened, and she had completely initiated the fight. But she also tore him down, making him feel useless once again.

Brad couldn't believe that had just happened. "And that loves is why I don't date women more than I have to."

"I sure as hell won't disagree with that!"

Brad laughed. "You wanna get out of here? Just go somewhere, do something?"
