For those of us who are 'liking' one another's Goodreads reviews,(which I am assuming is a genuinely considered response, rather than just a polite one)can I just mention that it helps our ratings as reviewers on Amazon US and UK if people find our reviews 'helpful'.

Thanks for pointing that out, Alison! That's one reason we ask for links to the reviews once you've posted them - other members of the group can go read & like them easily. Just another little bump for all of us...

Amazon also ranks according to the number of 'likes' of the book itself, so that one extra click can be very helpful in getting a book up the page listings and more easily visible to prospective readers. The same thing applies to agreeing with tags.

Perhaps as well as putting the link to the GR review in this discussion thread, we should also put the links to the Amazon reviews, so that those who decide to 'like' can easily navigate their way to 'find helpful'? Just an idea.....
I am not really happy to 'like' the book itself unless I have actually read it, though. There is another group on GR which I joined briefly, who indiscriminately (but reciprocally) 'like' and 'share' one another's books without actually reading them.

Just one other point: when going to Amazon US & UK to 'find helpful' those reviews on here I have 'liked' I couldn't actually find one or two of them. I did not know until recently that posting a review on Amazon UK does not automatically get added on Amazon US, you have to add it separately. As I have posted several reviews on Amazon UK I am now in the process of reposting these on Amazon US. Unfortunately, the reviews I have received so far for my books are only on Amazon UK.

I agree, Alison - I did intend my comment to be about the reviews we were posting, not just following someone else's lead.

I've come to the same conclusion. Gave away lots (not as many as you) and had one review which was positive, but haven't seen any additional sales, so, like you, I'm going to explore other platforms.

I find Amazon UK a little confusing, because sometimes reviews I post on Amazon US show up there automatically, and sometimes they don't. I haven't quite figured out the criteria yet, so I always check.

Thanks Jay - don't know why I didn't get it right 1st time. This is the 3rd review I've posted. On the other hand, as I've said before, I don't find this site very easy to navigate.

Just finished The four Treasure of Eirean, I'll post the review tomorrow. (Am I the last one for round one?) but will say, I loved it!

I don't think you're the last for R1, LM. I haven't had my review yet and I think there are one or two others. I am sure KA is on top of it!

There are still quite a few remaining to post reviews for Round 1. Remember, we have fifteen people in a group now, so there are a lot of reviews flying around!

I've been following the links to all the books reviewed in..."
I think there are buttons to say whether you found the review helpful - that's what you click, assuming you did.

I see the Like button right next to the link to the reviews, right at the top when you link to the book. The tags are often way down, several screen fulls down in some cases.
