(This is a great book to read when you can't take holiday cheer a minute longer.)

Having grown up in the South, I can attest to the fact that a LOT of this book's contents are accurate!

(As I wrote in my review of this book: I hate that I had reason to read this, but am glad it was available. Dr Funk presented the information in an easy to understand manner and helped to alleviate A LOT of anxiety in the process. )

(this is a great cookbook for beginners, and others. I gave a copy to my stepson when he got his first apartment...liked it so much I got myself a copy.)

Being biracial myself, this book touched me.

(I really enjoyed this book. Christopher Moore is a hoot as a writer.)

I love Christopher Moore! THIS book got me kicked out of a gaming session- I was reading while my character was out of action, got to the whale sex scene (you'll just have to read it and see) and totally lost it.

I'm in total agreement, Mickey!
(This was the first Moore book I read and I was hooked.)

This was a good YA read. Girl tries to deal with her family falling apart due to her mother's hoarding AND keep it secret from the rest of the world.

Silly but fun.
Ted, Celia Rivenbark (from post 7958) lives in my hometown. I met her several times at events when she was writing a column for the local paper. Super nice lady with a wicked sense of humor! And yes, I own all of her books. LOL

i haven't read any of CR's books. the title alone made me lol & want to read it.

Akashik Ch7 - "In Space, No One Can Hear You Sneeze" by Writers of the Apocalypse

(Cute, short book written by THE John Travolta and published 20 years ago for his children.)

Terri Windling is one of my favorite fantasy authors/editors.

A favourite author as a child... Not sure how much she is read today.

(Recent editions of this collection of connected short stories have been edited, aka "censored", but the earlier additions--1950s thru 1980s--contain what I consider my favorite scifi story. "August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rains" was inspired by a WWI-era poem written by Sara Teasdale. The poem and the story have had profound impact on me.)

Makeup to Breakup: My Life In and Out of Kiss by Peter Criss

The Invisible Makeup Technique: Your Guide for a "no-makeup" look by Marina Andreas

(This was my first "The Cat Who" book. I enjoyed its light style so much I've now read nearly all 28 of Ms Braun's books.)
