Would anyone like to join me in reading ...?
What ever happened with the readalong for The Mist in the Mirror? Is there a thread for it? I did end up reading it after all. :)
I've set a Thread for Brideshead Revisited: The Sacred and Profane Memories of Captain Charles Ryder, if someone is interested

Yes! I'm interested, Chuck. When are you thinking of starting?

I might join little later.

Oh, great! I was thinking about starting on November 1st (gives me a couple days to finish up some Halloween reads I'm doing), but really anytime next month is good for me if anyone needs more time.
But I'm open to anything you all would like to do. We can invent a schedule to read by and discuss, or whatever. Frankly, I'm used to everyone reading and discussing at their own pace by using spoiler tags. But again, I'm open to anything. :)

Great, Nov 1 = perfect for me! I'm going to start as soon as I finish A Little Life this weekend, which I think will be a tough act to follow. But a big chunky novel of New York in the 70s seems just right.
I'll take your lead on whatever readalong format you choose. Diane do you have a preference?

Yeah, that's fine with me. But with spoiler tags it really isn't going to matter if we start on exactly the same day or what pace we read at. Just as long as we're basically on the same page, proverbially speaking. And it looks like we are. So I'll start a new thread for it.

Thanks for starting the thread, Chuck.

Thanks for starting the thread, Chuck."
I would be all for that, Diane, except for the fact that I'll be reading the eBook along with the audiobook. But I usually mark my spoilers by chapter. With a book like this I can mark it by Book Number & Chapter. And I could even give an approximate page number based on percentage if you would like. What do you think?

Yes, I am!

Okay - the group is Mount TBR 2016 and here is the link for the buddy read:

Well, my interest fizzled because all the titles that were being proposed were books I have already read. But I would be interested in reading something I haven't read yet. I am thinking of reading Lady Anna later this month if I can find the time. Would you be interested in reading this?

It's in public domain Chrissie: you can download it from Gutenberg

Let me know what you decide

Laura, You've probably forgotten, but Chrissie uses audio books.

I had indeed Gill. I'm so sorry.
Anyway my answer still can still be right: it can be downloaded from librivox, as almost all Trollope's works

That LibriVox recording is the one I was thinking about but I know that Chrissie has had difficulty with getting LibriVox audiobooks onto her iPod (or whatever device it is she uses).
How about Sir Harry Hotspur Of Humblethwaite which is one Chrissie's Audible list:
http://www.audible.com/pd/Classics/Si...
and also
http://www.audible.com/pd/Classics/Si...
and appears to be one of the shorter books. The Kindle book is available for free:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0082V2A9I
and Amazon is calling it 159 pages. {edited to add} I see that the Penguin paperback is 256 pages and that is probably a more reliable guide but this is still short for Trollope!
Chrissie (& anyone else interested in the audiobook), if you "buy" the free Kindle book then the audiobook is much reduced in price using their Whispersync deal.
I don't know anything about this book so I am not recommending it except for the reasons I have mentioned here.
Another relatively short one is Dr. Wortle's School.
