I'm afraid we won't be able to use this book, 'cause it appears to be a travel guide with a lot of pictures and it's hard to know whether or not it has enough words to qualify for this challenge.

That is impressive!!
And I feel like it's also a little insane haha. So much walking! But you do see a lot of beautiful scenery when you do this kind of trek and that's definitely worth it.

Well, it's definitely not a travel guide. Yes, there are some small photos, but they comprise a very small part of the pages. The content of the book is:
Part 1: about the history of the Way of St. James
Part 2: the author's daily memoirs about her walk to Santiago de Compostela during 1.5 months
Part 3: advice on how to plan your journey, packing tips etc.
Part 4: descriptions of the different regions during the way
Part 5: daily prayers for 31 days
Amazon gives the print length as 280 pages, so it is definitely over the 160-page limit even with some photos thrown in.

As there were no direct bus routes, and going into town on the bus and back out again would end up taking twice as long as walking, I never bothered. Also doen't help that I get motion sickness, lol.
I have managed to complete a 100km in 24 hours event before, which was surprisingly fun, even if my feet did feel like they were going to fall off by the end of it!

Thanks for the clarification, Camilla!
Seems like we'll be able to use it then, since the photos are only a small percentage and the rest is text.

I really was back then. I also went to the gym/pool and boxercise classes most evenings, lol.

Okay, then we can use it! I used Amazons "look inside" feature and in the beginning, there appeared to have a few pictures. Good to know it's not actually that picture heavy:)

Pet Sematary is a very odd book.... I'm about half-way through and I feel sorry for the pet. Which is probably not what King intended haha.

Teehee, probably not. Most of the books written around that period are somewhat on the odd side. May have had something to do with the substance abuse thing, lol.
If you ever fancy something really odd, try The Tommyknockers ;)
Ok, Tea. I think that book gets the award for most inappropriate horror tag. Agatha Christie?! 😮
Although that book is really suspenseful... I guess there are people even more sensitive than me to spine-chilling stories lol

My daughter was absolutely terrified by it when they had to read it in school. I think she was 14 or 15.
I was getting a little restless with reading King last night (I think it's the writing) so I've now also started Secrets of a Summer Night for a little light reading which I've been meaning to pick up for a while now.
I'll try to have the King done by Thursday though to count for the horror tag this week - we're doing really good on those top shelves though! Half-way done already!
And because I can't really sit at work openly reading my paperback, I've also started His Banana for the lolz and because it's short and I can finish it in 3 work days.

It's What Remains and starts in July 17th.
Volunteers for DQs can give their bid here: BOM Discussion thread.
I'm trying to get a hold of the book. If I manage, then I'll join in the discussion and volunteer for DQ.

I remember I've read it for horror in battleship (original challenge) bur wasn't sure how many tags it has. Battleship had more relaxed rules about genres (I think it was 10 people). So I was surprised when I saw how many people actually tagged it as horror.
But come to think about it, if you read a blurb and if you don't know it's AC, it does sound horror-ish.
Sadly, it didn't work for many letters (only 1) I hoped with all those characters, there'll be more

True!
Oh battleship was a while ago. I think we were much nicer with rules back then 😂

Couldn't have been much stricter! I think RSU has scarred me for life for challenges that require certain colours on the cover! lol.

I signed up for DQs for the Back Room. Will let you know if I get selected.
Also, it's not a scarring story this time. In case someone else from the team would like to join. The discussion, I give no guarantee for ;-), but the book is actually a proper story, and not some weirdly googled-images-and-some-text-to-go-with-them sort of style.

Aww, but Perfect Formation was fun! As long as you could take the piss out of it in comments ;-))

New Adult?? Oh, no! I'm afraid I'm not going to be very helpful. I'll try to find something. Maybe I'm lucky and have something in my tbr😅

The Bride Test (53 tags)
Fix Her Up (30 tags)
Sutphin Boulevard (11 tags) + a couple other books in that series
