I thought we had a ladder already but I used a book under 250 pages so had to erase it. UGH! We're really close though, so once we get a few in for a Safe Zone, we should be good.

Since we need to complete all of a safe zone before doing another, which should we do first? Which one has the page numbers we need to do our ladder? We should do that first.

I'll start Pippi then =)

If we go with Safe Zone 1, Paula's book will complete the ladder, based on the pages for the books mentioned.

Here's where we stand with changes that were made to countdown books:

The other option would be to skip straight to SZ3 and just start spelling as many words as we can. Paula's book could be applied there instead of SZ1. That way we can read as much as possible and all books would count, as opposed to waiting for everyone to finish one of the other SZs before we are allowed to move on. I know I personally have about 5 other books (possibly more) that I'll finish by the end of the week that I could apply to a word rather than having them go to waste because I finished them before a different zone was complete.

Thoughts?

Yep, that's allowed.

Ladies I don't know how much of Dorian we will get here in South Carolina. They had mandatory evac for the coastal area today at noon and I am maybe an hour inland but usually even if we get a regular little storm we lose power in my area! Grr

I will pop in as much as and if I can over the next few days but I am gonna be reading a C book so we can use it on either part anyhow and as many others as I can.

I feel like we will be fine but just wanted to give a heads up.

I have 2 books I started after Linda posted the final countdown book that I've finished that we can use and I'll have another one finished today.

Letters for those I've finished and the one I'm reading now include:
Texts from Jane Eyre: And Other Conversations with Your Favorite Literary Characters: T, M, O (there is no clear main character as it is exchanges between literary characters from numerous books so I don't think there are any letters we can use for MCs..."O" might be most useful anyway since vowels can be difficult to come by)
Because of Miss Bridgerton: B, R, J, Q, G
I Hunt Killers: I, B, L, J, D, G, T


Also planned and (fingers crossed) hope to finish:
The Promise: K, A, B, F, C
The Foxe & the Hound: R, G, A, F, M, T

I can probably squeeze in another short one on audio as well.

Since we are dropping the first 2, I am not going to read Discovery of Witches, because of size and will do shorter ones.

I should be good to finish my word. I have one to add that I finished last night, one almost done that I'll listen to the rest while folding laundry, and 2 that are super short so won't take long at all. Then I'll finish up the other ones tomorrow.

I've also got another short audio one I'll finish that could add: H, T, S, A, or L.

Our ladder isn't finished because Paula hasn't added a completion for her book yet.

If you can add to the two books Jennifer posted and the audio one I posted about above to make another word that would be perfect!
