message 1329: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 4 comments Reading The Glovemaker’s Daughter by Leah Fleming. I enjoy historical fiction but this story of a Quaker girl is not my usual interest, and I haven’t read any of Fleming’s other works. I’m determined to read it through though. The book is well written and the story is interesting enough to keep me reading.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments Half-Truths and Semi-Miracles is a reissue of Anne Tyler’s 1974 story. If I had a light like this, I’d be tempted to hide it under a bushel, I think, ungrateful so-and-sos.

When you added the title of the book, while you’re on that pop-up where you choose the title, you can choose the LINK or COVER. The default is generally Link, but be careful. Once you’ve chosen Cover, it may become the default next time you want to link a book.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments These are two great kids' non-fiction books about their favourite subjects: dinosaurs and sharks! And full of the facts they love to stun grown-ups with. They're available on NetGalley till late November. Great PDFs so you can see them on a big screen.

I included lots of screen shots so you can see what you're getting and what kids are learning. (Be honest - you are learning, too.)

The real books come with kits to build skeletons!
