PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments It was a treat to re-read One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson. I liked it even better than before. First published in 2007, it was re-released along with the rest of the Jackson Brodie series to get us warmed up for #5.

Carolyn | 92 comments Currently enjoying The Warehouse by Rob Hart.
Set in a slightly futuristic world where the world is in disarray due to climate change and a behemoth amazon-like company has taken oven nearly all businesses and provides most of the employment. People live in an enclosed city where they work 7 days a week at a job assigned by the company.

Ren (tinypanthertales) I'm currently listening to the audiobook of The Honey Bus: A Memoir of Loss, Courage and a Girl Saved by Bees. I missed getting to this one before publication and saw it was available from hoopla so I'm listening while I work. It's sooo good. Not the easiest things to hear as this woman had a rough childhood, but it's very well written and I'm also learning a lot about bees (which I already was intrigued by). So I suppose this sort of counts since I do have the eARC from NetGalley.

The Honey Bus A Memoir of Loss, Courage and a Girl Saved by Bees by Meredith May

I'm also reading The Dog Who Took Me Up a Mountain: How Emme the Australian Terrier Changed My Life When I Needed It Most. This one is actually the eARC from NetGalley as it's not published yet. Really enjoying it and think it will appeal to dog-lovers who of course all know our dogs are the best. =)

A Deadly Deception (A Constance Piper Mystery Book 3) by Tessa Harris by Tessa Harris.
I'm not sure. I really want to like this book. I liked the first two parts in the series. So I'm really kind of mad at myself that somehow suddenly I really do not like the MC anymore. It's like my bucket of don't-care-she's-a-Mary-Sue suddenly cannot take it anymore. Because, if I'm honest, she already was a bit of a Mary Sue in the earlier installments. I just somehow seem to notice now.

Or, as my husband pointed out earlier today, I seem to be on my limit of being forgiving of others, after weeks of being more social than I usually am. I just realize it could very plausibly have something to do with that.

I'm currently reading A House of Ghosts by W.C. Ryan and I do hope I will get into the story more. For now I like it well enough, it has every sign it is a good story, but it just does not give me the 'spark'. While it also has so many things that usually give me this spark. Meh.
