PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story by Sean Taylor and Alex Morss is a delightful and informative kids' picture book. The illustrations by Cinyee Chiu make it special. Good gift book for grandparents!

Davida Chazan (chocolatelady) | 41 comments I'm about to start reading Lady Clementine Lady Clementine by Marie Benedict by Marie Benedict. It is the next to last book I have from them. I might stop using NG afterwards because they don't like the fact that I don't live in a "normal" country and so they don't let me request many books, just wish for them. (And wishes almost never come true!)

Carolyn | 92 comments Just started The Missing Letters of Mrs Bright by Beth Miller The Missing Letters of Mrs Bright by Beth Miller. Really good so far - a middle aged woman who's tired of her husband never wanting to do anything, decides to leave him.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments What do you do if you're scared to use the bathroom at school because of the teasing? The picture book Jacob's New Dress introduced a little boy who likes to wear dresses, inspired by Sam, the son of the authors, Sarah Hoffman and Ian Hoffman.

Jacob's Room to Choose is a good followup about Jacob and Sophie, a little classmate who prefers shirts and jeans. A teacher helps the other kids wake up to themselves!
Jacob's Room to Choose by Sarah Hoffman 4.5★ Link to my review with pictures

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments How do you know if someone is attracted to you for your 'real' self or for what they think you represent? The Weddings by Alexander Chee is an excellent short story from the new Amazon Original Stories collection, 'Inheritance'.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments Laid In Earth is my favourite Czech detective Josef Slonský investigation so far. Number 6 in the series harks back to the Communist regime and evidence of their interrogations in Prague. English author Graham Brack has created an appealing cast of characters.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments A must-have to keep around for visitors (after you read them yourself)!
Midwinter Mysteries: A Christmas Crime Anthology is a collection of short, entertaining mysteries with only the season in common. Dates range from 1665 to today. I always love Graham Brack's Prague police stories, and his is the first.

Angie F (angiefitzp) | 8 comments I just finished The Man She Married by Alison James and can confidently say that it is another 5 star read. It's the sort of book that is easy reading, there are no complicated relationships where you find it hard to remember who's who. The story just flows along until suddenly you have 80% read and there's no point in putting it down now. The Man She Married by Alison James

Davida Chazan (chocolatelady) | 41 comments I'll be reading Dreamland Dreamland by Nancy Bilyeau by Nancy Bilyeau very soon! After that, I only have ONE book on my NetGalley shelf, and that's only because it was a "read now" book that I didn't have to request! They hate me. I'm getting many more from Edelweiss.

Lorena (Stained Edges) (stained-edges) | 2 comments Just finished Wolf Gone Wild and wow was that book not for me. I hate to give negative feedback and I feel guilty, but then again NetGalley rules kinda forced me to finish this book. So here it is: 1 star and an essay rant :(

Chad (leafsfan1987) | 6 comments Just got declined for Looking Glass by Christina Henry. That was disappointing.

My last two requests were denied, and it's worrying me a lot. I need to improve my ratio from 50%, I guess. I just got too excited and requested too much when I first joined. But I'm currently reading one of the books I requested.

Currently reading Anything For You by Saul Black, for a late review :(
