Tom Clancy died October 1 2013 of an 'undisclosed illness'. He died just before the release of Command Authority. An autopsy wasn't performed for 5 days after his death either.

Never even realized Tom Clancy had died.
Are there any theories you've read about this?

Most of it has to do with Obama.

Jeesh, that's really ridiculous. Yes, Brietbart had no drugs in him; that's true. What he had was severe heart disease. The autopsy concluded he died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (an enlarged heart), with focal coronary atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). His enlarged heart was unable to pump properly. Tom Clancy never wrote anything that would get him in trouble, including Red October, which most experienced submariners thought was rubbish (I liked it though). Clancy never served in the military and had no access to classified information. His research was all open source material. He also always exaggerated how well military tech performed because, not having served, he didn't know most of it does perform well. By the time of his death, he'd pretty much stopped writing and just put his name on books others wrote using his plot ideas. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Clancy was also very pro the Military Industrial Complex and the whole war machine, right? (I only saw a few of the movies based on his books, never read the books)
If that's true, it seems like he wouldn't have made many enemies with the powers-that-be...

Or did he write about more complex matters and include potentially true conspiracies about those starting wars?

He did write about terrorism. I can't remember which one of the novels it was, but one was very much like Al Queda in the beginning and then like 9/11 then the rest of the book was mostly just combat.
