Oh I was wondering - why did you add the spell-it-out words at the end to already finished meals instead of making them new meals?

Customers have arrived!! We have 160 customers so at least we wont have any leftovers as we dont have that many meals!!!!

So as from now any books we read will go towards next months right?

Because there were not enough items to make full meals so I just added them in so we could either freeze the meals or use them during this round so we were able to get the points for the books since we had no way of knowing how many customers/ what type we would get.

I have a list of 20+ books for a spell out and a whole two pages of ingredients. I just have not been able to post them. HELP!!! Am I lacking authorization, do I have the wrong links?

hya, unfortunately round 1 finished yesterday so the books that you have already read arent able to be used, round 2 has started now so any books you read from now will be included, just keep a note of the books, characters and any food or drink in them with page numbers, once you have some we can talk you through how to add them onto the spreadsheet no problem xxx

Ive made a start on assigning the meals to customers, didnt want to hog it so have done a third of them roughly and i thought then you can both get a chance to do some too :-) xx

Ive also made a new sheet in the tracking sheet for books for round 2 x

I think if we would have had a full team we would have had a crazy amount of meals as well. I think we did pretty good for just us three powering through 💪🏻

With the 4 letters the spell-it-outs would have been a separate meal already though, I think? As quiches' min is 4, and the spell-it-out consisted of 4 letters already. I don't know if that makes sense lol

I took it as each meal had to have 4 ingredients minimum instead of each letter counting as “one” item. I’ll know for next time if we have to deal with spell it outs again.

I’m curious what our limit of books will be this round since last round was 80 🤔

That too! I know we won’t do so great on the ability to feed all the customers but we did have 0 food waste :)

I just went in and finished giving out the meals in case no one else had a chance to get on, but if you want to move any around feel free. :) I am also doing the BOM YA for October and the adult pick for November so if we are able to get our meal count up and/or need to switch out a customer we will be able to.

I think we did pretty dang good for it just being 3 of us and having 99 leftover customers! Plus a few of our dishes became favorites :) 90 books is our limit on the next round and hopefully with 4 of us we can push it up even higher. I’m going for some longer books this time and not as many short ones so hopefully we can not have as many or any leftover customers :)

Mushroom, Bamboo, and Turmeric are our key words to look out for

Hi Miranda! Please do an intro post about yourself :) and yes keep track of any characters and all food items and their page number or chapter number if listening to an audio book!

Hi I'm Miranda I live in Michigan. I'm 37 yrs old and i have a 8 yr old son and just went on vacation for my 5yr wedding anniversary. I love YA book along with horror and mystery books. Give me something with true crime and i can watch or read for hours.
Im still trying to get the hang of the challenges again since its be a few years since ive done one. So sorry if i have alot of questions or dont understand right away

Nice to meet you! I’m also from Michigan, love true crime, horror, and mystery 🥰 no worries! We are all here to help! Make sure you check out the original thread to read about the challenge and on page 2 of our thread there is a planning tracking sheet so you can add your books as you read them!

Awesome! And I liked it, 4/5. I’m not sure if I would have liked it had I not been listening to the audiobook, but as an audio it was good.

I also checked the box for you because it is mostly categorized as a children’s/middle grade book verses YA, so we just have to keep track of that so we know to only use those for fresh foods :)

actually, the box needs to be checked because the book isn't long enough, as it's only 36k words and needs to be 40+k words for us to also be able to use it for frozen foods ;)
