RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments Okay, for heal words to spell out, may I use any of these? It gives me lots of options. :P

Epithelialization - the process of epithelial cell formation and migration from the wound edges ( including hair follicles) that close over the wound

Hyperkeratosis - The thickening of the skin such as callus formation

Lipodermatosclerosis - A thickening in the tissues of the lower legs which feels hard and woody

Vasoconstriction - Constriction or narrowing of the blood vessels

anti-inflammatory - controlling inflammation, a reaction to injury or infection

Aren't most of those bad things? Not sure forming callus's counts as healing.

Let's go with stuff that makes you go from sick to healthy :P but you can use interesting words still.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) | 4364 comments They are ways in which the body heals. Drats. I wish they had a 26 letter long heal word.

message 159: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Eih, I'm not going to fight you on semantics of the healing words. It's 1 hp per letter for everyone so it's not like there's going to be big differences in people's quests over it.

BTW for others http://www.dmmedical.net/woundcareter...

Katie | 1634 comments So, can you battle a goblin, sewer rat AND brown bat all within one week without penalty? Or when you say they all scurry away, does that mean you can attack one and then you have to sacrifice a book to attack another?

I think Kelly answered this one on the old thread. You can battle a goblin, sewer rat and brown bat all within one week without any penalty. You need to bribe them with a book only if you want to fight the exact same species again before the week is out.

message 169: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) For the date night quest, does the book HAVE to be in the book or is in the title acceptable? For example, I have For Valentine's in my bag for later. Is that acceptable or do I need to find the word in the book? Thanks!

Nancy (nancyhelen) | 1469 comments I'm walking in to the tavern, slightly late to the party. Have been busy battling the pox back at the castle (the kids have got chicken pox) so the quest has had to wait for a little while...

I know we have to finish one healing word before battling the next, but do we also need to finish the whole word before we get back to the quest?

Yup. Each on separate timers. Also note, if you kill the goblin on monday and the bat on tuesday, the goblin will be back the following monday and the bat the following tuesday.

For Date Night book it has to be in the book :) books.google.com is a good way to search within books for ones you have the physical copy of (or don't have a copy of anymore).

No, you may stop in the middle of a word and do other things, just can't start a new word.

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} (raven_tiger) | 41 comments I'm trying to figure out how much damage the wand and sword inflict with each leveling up.

So if we start with each inflicting 3 HP damage but each leveling up would increase the HP damage by 2, so level 2 would be 5 HP, and level 3 would be 7 HP?

Some clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

Heh, we did an asian cruise when I was in college and we got somewhere and they had these nice tiled bathrooms that were holes in the floor. I thought it was a great contrast since they put a lot of effort into it.

You start off with level 0 weapons. So they're 2 damage each.

You add 2 attack to the level of your weapon to get the damage.

So a level 1 staff is 3 attack, level 2 is 4 attack, level 3 is 5 attack.

message 190: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Also note that some of the higher level monsters are susceptible to weapons and it increases their attack against those monsters or they're resistant and it decreases attack. That's noted in the monsters description.

*sits next to Dani and orders new round of drinks signaling bartender to put them on Dani's tab*

So I hear you've met few of our rats. They are vicious and like to bite, I agree.

*nods and sips her beer*

Just wait until you stumble into one of those bats. It'll take you daaaays to get those wings untangled from your hair! Trust me it's not worth all the trouble.

*hides grin behind her tankard*

Dani (yogidani) | 181 comments Thanks Kelly!

*muses and sips on beer*

Those bats sound horrible! My hair gets tangled enough as is. I may need a longer staff so that I may attack them from a greater distance.

*glances over to Alex*

Is that so? Perhaps she's in league with those bats. It certainly seems as if she wants me to steer clear of them.

*sigh*

Now look what you did.

*slips note to Kelly how Alex needs his own quest*

I don't think I'm in cahoots with bats. I'm still recovering from my last encounter with them. It was huge with sharp teeth and claws. *shivers* And I think he really liked taste of my blood. I just hope he didn't manage to communicate with his family before I got him.

*sighs and finishes her beer in one gulp*
