Heheh,I can just imagine Jace if someone told him you'd named your pink bike after Gem. :D I name pretty much all my stuff too, by the way.

message 103: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Yay for naming stuff! :D

@Madison: What are they called? My laptop is Grouchy, 'cause he's ooold and slooow and well, grouchy. XD (What's your profile picture by the way? I can't figure it out...)

@Ghosty: I can't decide whether Jace would be insulted or just wouldn't get it. :D

Amanda wrote: "Thanks! I got Jace :)"

AWESOME. :D I re-took it and got Kaden! Last time I got Lady Anne.

I've only had one bike at a time, but my last one was...Striker? Wow I just totally blanked on the name! :P The bike I have now is Zelda, but I'm wondering if I should change it (I named it when I was a few years younger :P) When I was younger, some of my friends and I formed 'The Stallion Gals' and our 'horses' were our bikes, and your comment about naming your bikes after horses made me remember...ah, good times!

My laptop is Miko! ^-^ Oh, and my family's van is Bessie - good Ol' Bessie is going to fall apart soon ;P That's kind of why I named her Bessie...seems like an old car name ;D Haha, Grouchy, I like it! XD

Oh, and my profile pic is spray-painted Africa with a little heart in it :) But I think I'm going to change it very soon... ;P

Yeah me too, I only get a new bike when I out grow my old ones or they totally break. And they're normally my older siblings' hand-me-down bikes. :P

Those are all great names! Sounds like you had some cool friends. :) Bikes were always so much cooler and safer then horses in my mind, though I always pretended they were horses, even though I hated horses when I was little. (Funny how we keep saying stuff like "when we were younger" when we're both just teens. XP)

Okay, I thought it looked like some place. Only now I have to ask what your new pic is? XD

Yeah, I actually need to get a new bike; I'm a bit big for it and the tires are both popped :P It's been a little while since I've been able to ride it. :(

Haha, really? XD Do you like them (horses) now? (Haha, I know, right? XD)

It's the Autobot symbol ;) It's a Transformers thing. Hm, but it's kind of hard to see...

Aww, I'm sorry. I hope you get a new one or fix it!

Well, I didn't like horses because I got kicked by a pony when I was really little and it HURT. So I decided I hated horses and that they were evil. XD I think they're pretty cool, and I like them okay, though I wouldn't really want to own/ride one. :)

Oh, cool. I don't know much about stuff like that. XP

It is pure amazingness, isn't it? TKS only gets better.

I never liked horses as a kid either (unless they were unicorns or pegasi, or brightly colored ... aka figurines), but at least you had a Good Reason. Me ... I've been terrified since the first time I saw them at eighteen months. They still spook me when I'm up close.

So I'm getting into making clay jewelry for my Etsy shop. Any Ilyon inspired jewelry you think would be cool? Keep in mind, I'm not a sculptor. :P I'm more into word pendants and things I can stamp as opposed to shapes. ;)

message 112: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments That's so awesome!! Scrolls maybe? Sword?

message 113: by Katie (new)

Katie Grace (katiegracewrite) | 73 comments A stamped arrow would be pretty neat...

message 114: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments *facepalm* I read that wrong. *sigh* I overlooked the fact that you said things to stamp not objects...oh well.

message 115: by Ghost Ryter (new)

Ghost Ryter | 64 comments A heart with Jace + Kyrin on it... lol, just kidding. xD

An open scroll that says "We are the Resistance" would be pretty neat!

message 116: by Leah (new)

Leah Good | 11 comments Pendants with the characters' names might be cool. So fans could buy a piece of jewelry specialized to their favorite character.

message 119: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments Or even a little pendant in a book shape that says Ilyon or Resistance or The King's Scrolls or something directly promoting the books :)

Thanks for the ideas! I'll see what I can come up with. I would love to make pendants that say "We are the resistance." :) And I have a good wolf stamp in mind. I just have to actually order it.

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments What happened to the TKS category? I can't find it.

message 131: by Jaye (new)

Jaye Knight (jayelknight) | 389 comments Mod
First off. *hands over some ice cream* I've cried every time I worked on that book. :/

Anyway, I couldn't find the TKS category at first either, but then I realized you have to click the "More Discussions" link down at the bottom of the list of discussions.

message 132: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments *receives tissues and eats all the ice cream* That is horrible. Every time someone cried, so did I. Why did you make this so heartbreaking?!

Okay...I'm on my iPod right now so I'll have to check on my computer later if I can't find it here.

I didn't cry, but man did I get close. *gives you a hug* I'd say it's gonna be okay, but. . . I'd be lying. Sorry you have to go though this!! But we all did when we read it...

*gives everyone a pat on the back*

(Who we're talking about isn't even a big character... Guys, what happens when she kills someone like Trask or Kaden, or Rayad? We're all going to DIE.)

Amanda wrote: "Amanda wrote: "Amanda, have you read Resistance or TKS yet?"

Be scared. Be REALLY scared.

message 142: by Amanda (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments Amanda wrote: "*hugs back*

I KNOW. *SOBS* I don't want Rayad to die! But he's the mentor, so he has to go. *sniffs* (That will totally break Jace though... Which is another reason she will.)

Jaye could we convince you that it will be totally cliche to kill the mentor? Please don't.

message 144: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 342 comments She'd better not kill Rayad. I don't think she will. They need to retain some mentor.

message 145: by Katie (new)

Katie Grace (katiegracewrite) | 73 comments I'm more worried for Jace's sake then mine... I'm more afraid it will kill him. :/

message 146: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Georges (tamarasinnamon) You girls are scaring me. I haven't even thought about what could happen in the next book. *Looks down with wide eyes* don't cry, don't cry!!!

message 147: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (wordfitlyspoken) | 158 comments This is exactly why I've been avoiding this..... *hides and shrieks* DON'T KILL RAYAD! It would totally be cliche! Stargazer's right!

gabi | 358 comments Hey... So I'm changing the subject, but do any of you have suggestions for other appropriate fantasy/sci-fi books that you loved (besides the Ilyon Chronicles

message 149: by Morgan (last edited Apr 30, 2015 01:22PM) (new)

Morgan | 342 comments The Makilien Trilogy by Molly Evangeline. :) There's also the DragonKeeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul, The Firmament Series by J. Grace Pennington, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings, the Prydain chronicles by Lloyd Alexander, The Destiny Trilogy by Sarah Holman, The Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, all of Kendra E. Ardnek's books, and I'm sure there are many, many more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Oh, and my own books tend to be sci-fi/fantasy. Across the Stars and The Experiment. I'm coming out with Time Captives: Creighton Hill soon.
