It might be the first time that I don't have a team regarding a love triangle, and I have absolutely no idea who Mare's gonna end up with. Honestly, I don't like Mare that much, even though I'm so drawn to the story line.

Yes Susie, the storyline is amazing, and I don't care if it is very similar to Red Rising , no book is the same!

I do like Mare though, but I am not too fond of her the way I am with some other characters from books (Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass, her character is strong and decisive).
I am more Team Maven than I am of Team Cal, but if I am to be completely honest with you, I don't really care as long as the Reds get the justice that they deserve and Cal to rule over the Silvers in a rightful way !!

I'm pretty sure a lot of us feel that way, about the outcome, I mean. Come to think about it, I don't usually like the female characters that much. The only ones that I really love are Hazel from TFiOS and Lyra from His Dark Materials. I'll probably try Throne of Glass when I have the time, I've heard a lot good things about Celaena.

Ah, Hazel Grace was a great female character though sometimes she could be pretty depressing. And yes, Throne of Glass is truly amazing.
Most of the books I read about have female main characters ( not to be biased or anything) but I don't really care what happens to Mare (of course I don't want her to die, she's the main character !) but I don't mind if she gets injured whatever.

No, it doesn't. I don't care, either. She doesn't really listen to others. An if she ends up injured, her tendency to ignore others' words might be at fault.

I must admit I'm attached to Mare but she can be kinda stupid sometimes. I'm reading Heir of Fire ATM and its good. You should try Throne of Glass!

It's amazing !! I'm sorry, I'm straying off the path of Red Queen, but I must say that the ToG series is fantastic, Queen of Shadows having to be my favourite.

I was never completely sold on Maven to begin with, but when he betrayed her, I got over it quickly. What I could not get over was the ambiguity between Cal and Mare... Will they end up together? I'm sure Victoria Aveyard will write well enough to convince us either way.

I'm soooooo torn. At first I was like Cal all the way, but then Maven started to warm my heart. I am still rooting for Maven even after his betrayal. He may have lied to her, but he was still willing to save her life to be with her which is seen when Maven comes to visit them in the Bowl of Bones. It's not like he didn't love her, he just wanted to outshine his brother, who he was jealous of. WHICH IS STILL NOT COOL LIKE WTF MAVEN, and let's be honest Cal was going to let Mare and his brother die for treason against their country. The only person Cal really begged his father to live was his brother, Mare just sat there waiting for her fate.

Would it make more sense, or even respectable, to forsake your entire nation for the sake of a silly romance? I would disagree. I think what Cal did, choosing duty over their romance, is something no other YA protagonist/love interest was able to do before. Let the kingdom and the millions of people that inhabit it be damned, at least I still have my bf/gf! Naive and asinine. Cal veers toward the pedantic side, but at least we know his principles are defined and solid. An honorable person.

Im more of a good guy tyoe I must admit. Thats probs wht I like Cal so much. I originally wanted Maven as a brother but not anymore.

So hope they don't kill cal, because if they do... I'm so conflicted right now, like I want mare to be with Maven, but I also want cal to be with her too. It's not fair!
