UPDATE - formula on the round 1 sheet was only counting the first 6 letters! Fixed

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments I have a lot of airport/flying time today so I'll switch to one that I know has an R -- since that seems to be a consistent need.

And our score looks better. :)

I will have to do some looking for Brown covers, but I know I have a couple mythology I can read. Sadly I will be back to work, so probably back to my normal book numbers.

Louise | 3331 comments Found some mythology audios 🎉

message 106: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 2567 comments I will be able to take the E (for my Dune book) and the S (for my Cytonic book) if still needed when I finish them.

message 107: by Stacey (new)

Stacey | 897 comments I'll do my best for next week for tags. I'll be reading, but I have a few other challenges that I am reading for so I'm not sure I'll get to mythology or brown covers.

message 108: by Devann (new)

Devann (devannm) | 2778 comments i can take one of the mythology spots with Small Gods and one of the brown cover spots with We Won't Be Here Tomorrow and Other Stories. those will probably be the only two i read next week since we've got thanksgiving and all

message 110: by Jhmingos (new)

Jhmingos | 704 comments Jackpot, I can read Daughter of Smoke and Bone which has a brown cover and is mythology. A surprising number of my TBR books are tagged mythology so I can do a few of those.

As a Kristen Ashley fan (she's my one of my go tos when I need to really be able to count on a book keeping my interest) it's pretty good. It's not going to be one of my favorites from her, but its an interesting idea and I'll keep going in the series -- especially because book 2 has a brown cover. ;)

As long as it isn’t finished before the start of the next round it can be started anytime from the beginning of Wherl

It occurred to me that I don't' think I filled in all the name options for Rules of Demption so I'll up date that too if I didn't. Got the 3rd book in the series started and should finish tomorrow. My favorites are the Dream Man and Colorado Mountain series and then the Rock Chicks. To me, Law Man is the most traditional romance while still giving you a good idea of how she writes.

She has a style that you either love or hate. :)

Nanci | 2567 comments Ugh. Did I miss the deadline? I thought 9pm London time today would be 4pm eastern time in US. The time on the countdown clock is 0:00. Maybe it's set for London time?? I don't know how to alter it for east coast US.
Anyway, I just finished listening to Dune. I will mark it as finished on the SS, just in case it can be used.

Thanks, Dale. That was the link I was using, but this morning it read 0:00 for "end of round 1, start of round 2" so I thought time was up. I'm confused how you all are still seeing hours were left. Mary C., I see you posted just shortly after me and stated we had 7+ hours left. Did it say that on the countdown clock? Just trying to figure it out for round 2 ending time. I know that if it's 9pm in London on Monday, then it's 4pm EST in the US, so I thought that was correct. Is there a way I change the clock to EST time, or do I just do the math?

The Round 2 timer: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...

Also posted in msg 5 at start of this thread, which I forgot to swap out for Round 1.
Normally I have to post these clocks to remind myself of start/end dates rather than trying to figure out the UK/US time difference. This challenge is run by Cat so all the clocks are in London time, it’s great for me as I don’t have to think about time conversions.

If I forget to post the Round clocks please let me know and I can grab it

😀

Thanks Dale, although PMs doesn’t help the rest of the team or the Captains know that there is information missing that benefits the team as a whole.

Danielle has added a v fancy countdown to their team's tracking spreadsheet which I have unapologetically stolen for ours.

message 147: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments I think you are safe to go by Monday nights 4pm EST. If that's what time zone you are in like me. Maybe you accidentally clicked on the link for when the game started and that's why it said 0.

I actually give myself a deadline of an hour before so the captains have time to update although sometimes I am last minute finishing.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments I'm speed reading/listening to 2 books before the library repossesses them. Fortunately hubby plays cards on Monday nights so I got through most of Wisteria Society for Lady Scoundrels thanks to speeding up the playback. Got a bunch of pictures finally hung up in my house and my pie crusts made .

And boy is this book a trip: The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels (Dangerous Damsels, #1) by India Holton
