I really enjoyed the first two novels in the series and I hope the author is planning on writing more of them in the future.

All three books in the series were nominated for the Ned Kelly Award as the Best Crime Novel of the Year, but the author has not written a new Conkaffey/Pharrell book since 2019.

I read the first book in the series earlier this year and really enjoyed it. But there doesn't appear to be any more Petric books in the future, as Fesperman has moved on to writing mostly stand alone thriller novels.

This is the second novel in his Neal Carey series that was originally printed in the the early 90s. I am picking up each of the 30th anniversary hardcover reprints as they are released this year.

I read three of Fesperman's books earlier this year and thought they were excellent. This one has also started out very well and I hope to continue enjoying his other works.
