Also I read two books that have Aaron Warner in it, so that completes his character for next week!

I just finished posting my books for the week, so I'm good. Just need to start on next week's tasks. I'm glad there are some others who can do the Premiere Week books. :)

BTW, if we have a book that fits more than one task/2 categories such as a professional dancer and a host, can we use one book for more than 1 task?

I'm currently reading Driven and I know that it's on passion flix I believe. Will this count as a movie?

Jamie, as far as I know our book for a movie has to come from the list provided by Alaina. So if it's not on that list, I doubt it but you can ask Alaina in the Q/A.

No, books can only be used for one task. But if you're banking it, definitely write down both tasks that it works for so other people can see if their books will complete one of those categories

It’s a shelves list, so check the shelves for that specific book.

That's what I was doing. I couldn't get past page 25 on that shelf. It says there are 69 pages I believe but nothing past 25 was opening for me.

Some books are listed for only 1 task and it's unknown if anyone has books to fit/partner with them. I think we need a little more communication or list at least several books each book fits unless it only fits 1 task.

I'm currently reading with a hardcover book, so finding words isn't easy unless I recognize them as I'm reading. I'm hoping to find several tasks it fits. I'm going to bank it even though it's not finished yet so that I can post what it fits as I go.

Dance: Jive (banked books for both: MC's name starts with J - Vicki, "swing" in text - Jamie)
Host: Lisa Canning (Standalone - Vicki, published in November - Saige)
Judge:
Pro Dancer:
Star/Character Dancer: Aaron Warner (Ashlyn has banked books for both)

Obviously a bunch of these could move around, but if people have things they know would work for a judge or pro dancer that would also be great

I think we are missing some things or I'm reading the SS wrong.

**Remember you can do more than one dance per week, just know that for EACH dance you read/complete - you need a professional dancer and a star. You only need to read for a judge and a host once a week.**

We have two dances: contemporary and freestyle
We only have one professional dancer completed: Artem (we need another dancer)
We only have one star completed (we need 2)
We do have 1 task for a star but need a 2nd to match - MC writes or receives a letter

Betsy's book is listed for Daniella - Pub. in Dec. and we have nothing to match it. Plus, we can't use another dancer because we only have 2 dances. I know there are some issues but I have to leave and I am hoping someone can check us in. Alaina posted exactly what we have to include in the check-in thread, so hopefully someone can do it for us because I won't be here. If we move Betsy's book to next week, she won't have one read for this week. Assuming nobody is adding more books tonight is what all I've based this on.

Ok so this is what I think we have completed -

Judge-Len Goodman x2 - completed/posted

Host Lisa Canning x2 - completed/posted

Dance #1 Contemporary x2 - completed/posted

w/Artem (Professional dancer) x2 - completed/posted

So we are complete for the week, however....

We also have dance - freestyle (Ashlyn) that was posted with reviews complete, but we don't have 2 professional dancers or 2 star/book characters to go with this. According to Alaina's message in #56 if we post a dance, we also HAVE to post dancer and star which it doesn't look like we have. We only have 1 Iris - star/book character (Ashlyn) and 1 Daniella - dancer (Betsy). All 4 of these have reviews posted.

I think we need to message Alaina to move these 4 out of this week. We can move the dance to week 2, but we need to either bank the other two or find books to fulfill the other task to complete these in week 2.

Does this make sense? Or does anyone have issues with this?

How do I report my books? I'm confused to be honest.

So for Iron Flame, I can post as published in November? Doesn't matter that it's been used?

You add your books to the spreadsheet. If you go to message one in this chat, the spreadsheet link is there.

Do you know what prompts your books fill? Do any of your books have an MC that has a first or last name that start with D or an MC that writes/receives a letter? Those are the two we need to complete the two open tasks. If they don't, then you will need to add your books to the banked tab in the spreadsheet.

If we are using the books for the current week we are on, we need to also post on the review link (which is also on message 1 in this chat).

Does this make sense?

Yep... here's what I said I had. I added Iron Flame to the spreadsheet and its not there. So I know I'm a little late. Had a lot going on personally but trying to get some normalcy back. Divine Rivals can be used for the letter. I'll add it now. I'll check now for the MC.

I do have where MC's name starts with a D... Issa Dubova from Black Skies Riviera...

Oh perfect! That will allow us to keep the extra dance and then we have the star and dancer covered.

Anything else you've read, just put in the banked tab and we can start working on week 2.

Once you get your reviews posted and the spreadsheet updated, post in here and I'll do the check in and we will be done with week 1.

LOL We are such a good team! I think round 2 we need a little better communication among everyone. I think this challenge is confusing to start off, so I'm glad we got it straight now (I hope). lol

I agree Vicki! I think I finally have my head wrapped around it, but this is definitely a "team" challenge in order to complete all the tasks required.

I think before we start posting reviews in the chat, we need to make sure we have everything covered and can actually use the category.
Unless an individual is reading both options for judge or host.

Also filling out what categories/themes books will work for in the banked tab will help out a lot as well.

We are checked in for week 1! Great job everyone!

Totally agree! If a book only works for 1 task an no others, it might or might not be worked in so we need to be careful. Hopefully we all get it now!

Not anymore. There wasn't anything listed in the spreadsheet so it looked like we needed those. Ivelisse had two books that covered those, so she added them so we could finish everything up and post the check-in.

You can bank them and we can use them in week 2

Yeah, we discussed it in the chat that I was reading for those, but I'm glad someone else books were able to fit.

We HAVE to do 13 books total minimum. And for each Dance we post, we have to do a Pro Dancer and Character/star. If we do two dances, that would add on a lot of books for that week, which is what we did this week.

Also for the specific tasks Alaina gives us each week, three different people need to read for one of those tasks.

Also for next week, I'm reading one book for Read a book from the Made into a Movie Books List. Everything else, I read, won't be for anything specific because I probably won't have much time.

Thank you! It's been a week and honestly all of my brain cells were used up to capacity. I'll be more on top of things this week.

Also, I've added my books with the different options for each and reviews. If anyone sees they fit and want to grab, feel free to do so.

I just added to the spreadsheet so hopefully it's a little easier to use this week. We can then add more Dances/ProDancers/Stars towards the bottom if we see that we can use more.

I was trying to add the Iron Flame due to the page points but my name is not in the dropdown. Is there something I need to do? I can modify the spreadsheet but do not want to if theres a reason.

Correct, if you want to use Xander for the book star/character - you need to read for both of his tasks in order to complete him.
