Will be on tags on main page I’ll show you link as I’ve found one,
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Thank you!!!! Now I know what to look for. I just didn't want to pick a book and it not be usable.
Jessica wrote: "Maybe I'm overlooking it, I've been looking though all the Q and As and instructions. What is "MPG of Young Adult"? How do I find that info to see if a book qualifies as that? Thanks for any help a..."
MPG stands for Main Page Genre
On the first page that comes up when you search for or click on a book line, there will be a list of Genres under the book description/blurb.
"Young Adult" just needs to be listed there. (Sometimes it will have "more" at the end of the list, if the list won't fit on 1 line.

You absolutely did not step on any toes!! I didn't see your post. I probably had the screen open for a while.

Thank you. Just making sure MPG wasn't like some secret code or specific sub catergory.

I saw that you had completed checking in the Completion posts but we haven't received the next prompts. Did we not complete the spreadsheet and completion post correctly?
Thanks, Lori

I should have posted them in your thread and in your spreadsheet - I may have only gotten one, so sorry!! I'll update it now.

Do we list the book twice and get credit for 2 books, even though we are using 1 book? Basically, how do we show this on the SS?

It appears to me that the blue "swirl" is supposed to be a river plus it has river in the title?"
Yes, I'll take that. It seems to be depicting the river there!

Thank you, Angie. :)

It will always be a different task in each unless there is a twist of some sort.

Yes, absolutely. (The numbers can be in any order in the date and the leading zeros for month or day would work.)

Plurals are okay. So are tenses, as long as it doesn't make it a completely different word.

Question: For "with a track or something jumping on the cover"
Would either of these work? MCs are Race Car Drivers:

For the 4 X 400 Meter relays: I have a book with a runner, and the author's last name is Hendricks, would that apply for the common name?

I'm pretty sure the 'common name' prompt means that the name is the same for both you & your partner.
So Hendricks would work, if your partner also reads a book that has an author with that name.
But I could be wrong.

Yes, you can use first or last name for that task - your partners author can also be first or last name. If your authors last name is Hendricks and your partners author's first name is Hendrick, that would work.

Bernadette wrote: "Angie, it might be early for this, but is there an overall scoreboard and/or medal count somewhere or will there be so we can see where we stand as teams?"
Yes, there will be soon! Work has been taking too much of my time, I'll get it sorted by the weekend.

I hate when work get in the way😂

Read a book with 3 of the same number in the page count or publication date
Can both be used or can we only use one? If I have a book that is 656 pages and published 6/8/2023 would it work? Or do all three pages number need to be the same and the same number appear three times in the date (2/8/2023 as an example)
Great question! It can be a combination of page count and publication date, or it can be in either the page count or pub date.
Either of these will work:
222 pages - for three 2s
656 pages and published 6/8/2023 - for three 6s
Published 3/13/2023 - for three 3s

Give me a bit to get in and settled from work and I'll come by your thread and we can "chat".

Can partners complete the same task (like both reading a YA book for sport climbing)?
Will a river count as a large body of water for surfing? I'm reading

Thanks for your help.
In most of the sports, each partner has to complete a different task. (can't be the same one).
Sport Climbing has to be different tasks.
When same tasks are allowed, the task or the directions for that sport will specify that you will need to do the same task.
Yes, a river counts as a large body of water. Since the title is Frozen River, I will accept it.

The Competitive aspect of the game will end on October 31. The points tracking for the competitive game will not continue after that date.
There isn't a time limit on the completion of the tasks. I will keep the threads open as long as teams are actively working on the tasks and posting as such.

Teresa wrote: "Q in regards to medals awarded - Just wondering how is that determined? I have one entry from the last set of tasks that has no medal awarded at all..."
Good question! It is random, determined by a spin of a wheel I created. The possibilities are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and No placement.
