Got it. This is a horse on the cover right?

Yep, there is a horse on there!

Kari | 917 comments Would this be ok for Artistic cover?

Nine Frosty Nights Baes of Christmas by Kimmie Ferrell or

Turkey in the Snow by Amy Lane

Artistic is subjective, what is artistic to me may not be artistic to anyone else. That being said, this task is up to each individual. I trust everyone will be realistic! LOL

I'd prefer to be 'surrealistic'. 🙀🙃

For this specific event, it needs to be wrestling.

So for example, someone doing physical therapy exercises as he is recovering from an injury? Like someone who is doing these PT exercises to get back to his life/work, by "PT test" you mean like undergoing a doctor's exam?
Thanks!

message 211: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
PT Test (physical fitness test) is used to assess a person's physical abilities for some professions or events; e.g., military, police, rescue, athletics.

Kari | 917 comments Ahh ok thanks

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 1482 comments Angie, our Trampoline task "1. Read a book with a character named George" isn't on the sheet

Give me a few and I'll get it fixed. Sorry about that!

Janeylou | 2028 comments Would this be excepted as yellow.

Love and Poison by Jamie Lynn Miller

message 216: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 1482 comments For "2. Read a book with one of these items on the cover (Ribbon, Hoop, Ball, Clubs)"

Would a hockey stick or a baseball bat work for club?

message 217: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 500 comments for 3. Read a book where the MC wears protective equipment (like those used in boxing)

Would high tech armor work? It's a full suit of futuristic armor

If this is for the red, yellow, green on cover - yes, I see both green and yellow in the badge and would also call the background a shade of yellow.

That would be the ultimate in protective equipment! I'll accept it.

Enough of a forest? knowing it takes place in Alaska? For A forest on the cover (an actual forest, not just trees)?

Northbound (The North Novels) by Cara Dee En direction du Nord (Le Nord, #1) by Cara Dee

message 223: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
Yes, either of those would work.

Teresa (teresab78) | 500 comments Would this work for a circus element on the cover

Lighting the Darkness (Carnival of Mysteries) by Eden Winters

message 225: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
Yes, I'd take that. It looks like the outside of a game booth/tent and you can win stuffed animals at the games.

message 226: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1918 comments Hi Angie, would you consider this as ribbon on the cover?

message 227: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
Can't really tell if it is cord or ribbon, but it looks flat to me....so yes, I'll accept that as ribbon.

Alyana | 1918 comments Thank you :)

message 229: by Kat (new)

Kat (bookworm2017) | 1460 comments Can this count for third in series or does it need to specify a series number https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B091P7LSY...

message 230: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
It doesn't necessarily have to have a number, but it should be the 3rd book in a series. Volume 3 of that series doesn't meet the page count, so I'm going to say no on the Combined edition of volumes 1-5.

message 235: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
Very creative! Those things are protective equipment for the baker, especially the oven mitts/gloves. I'll take it!

message 237: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1918 comments Hi Angie, I'm back! lol

I have a few questions regarding the new sport.

1. For the race scene involving a bicycle or motorcycle, there was a scene where there were a stream of cyclists but it was not really mentioned that it was a race, would this work?

2. mountain or off-road trail on the cover, does this look like a mountain to you? -

3. And lastly, I don't know about this one - you can tie to BMX Freestyle racing?

message 238: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
1. Yes, if there are several cyclists, I'll take it.
2. Looks like a mountain in the background.4
3. This can be any book you can tie to BMX Freestyle racing. The key is "freestyle"; meaning you can use your imagination and pretty much anything goes, as long as you can provide a feasible explanation of how it ties.

message 239: by Kari (new)

Kari | 917 comments For 1. Read a book that you can tie to BMX Freestyle racing, can it be related to the description right above. Like set in California, set in the 1970s, 60 in the page number, or similiar?

message 240: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1918 comments In addition to Kari's question, can a publication date work as well like when bmx freestyle started in the Olympics?

Alyana wrote: "Hi Angie, this is harder than I expected, for the set in London task, would you accept this book Diana: Her True Story in Her Own Words?"

I feel like the setting for that book will be the entire UK. I'm going to say no to this one.

message 245: by Bernadette (new)

Bernadette (bernadettedaniel) | 1521 comments Angie, can you add the October Official Buddy Reads to the drop-down list?

message 246: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
I sure can! Sorry about that, the range was wrong and I thought I fixed all of them.

message 247: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1918 comments Hi Angie, I know the competitive part of this challenge ends tomorrow, I don't think I can finish my books for our current sport by tomorrow. How does the scoring work for that?

message 248: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod
All completed books on the SS that were completed through 10/31 will count for final points. I will award medals for the completed tasks as well, for the final score.

message 249: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3500 comments Mod

Today is the last day for the competitive portion of this challenge. If you have banked books or books read today that fit tasks update your SS as those will count toward your final total.

(If you want to continue with the events at your own pace, just post in your thread and check in as normal to received your next events.)

Hope you had fun!
