how far are you into KoA? what's happened so far

To summarize:
- Aelin is with Maeve (The last thing was the “Do not yield” part or sth of the sort)
- Rowan, Elide, Lorcan and Gavriel are looking for Aelin (The last thing was that Rowan realised that Aelin’s was in Doranelle)
- Aedion and Lysandra are in all the part of the war along Terrasen (The last thing was Nox talking to Lysandra about he knowing that Aelin’s wasn’t there with them)
- Manon and Dorian are with Crochans (The last thing was the attack of the Ironteeth and the conversation between Dorian and Manon)

Now I’m finishing chapter 19, with all the things of Chaol and Yrene warning Chaol’s father about Erawan’s troops coming.

-oh God the do not yield part breaks me every single time. Wait until you get to the "take it off" part now that is just pure pain. The whole time she is with Maeve I was sobbing.
- honorable mention my baby Fenrys. I just love him so much
- Rowan and Lorcan should have listened to Elide in the first place when she had first told them where Aelin was.
-Aedion and Lyssandra Go through so much in their relationships and you can see how war takes a toll on relationships so much with the two of them.
-I also love Nox. I remember first meeting him in ToG and really hoped he would stick around till the end so I was very surprised and happy to see him in KoA
-The whole thing with the witches is wild lol. I'm so proud of Manan and her journey.
-Chaols dad is a bitch

Literally!! My heart is being destroyed with all the Aelin chapters with Maeve. I know that Arobynn manipulated Aelin in the cruelest possible way and (SPOILER) killed Sam, but if I hate more Arobynn or Maeve/Cairn is the most difficult question

Oh yes I forgot to mention Fenrys! Yes me too, I love him so much since he’s accompanying Aelin and all the things that we said before

Yes I would love that they could forgive themselves and be endure this war together as lovers!!!!

Like man they are trying to warn you and help you, stop being rude and accept that you need help!!!

- those chapters with Aelin and Maeve I'm literally the worst. because like not only is Aelin physically tortured she's also getting emotionally and psychologically tortured.
- The way Aelin and Fenrys communicate with the blinks breaks my heart
- Please tell me what you think about their reunion once they find Aelin
- There's a lot of her between Aedion and Lyssandra just like think Lorcan and Elide. but I feel that like since Aedion and Lyssandra are literally at the front lines of this war their relationship is more strained and harder to reconcile than Lorcan and Elide
- seeing how Chaol's dad is first hand after learning everything we did and ToD made me so mad! Yerene is a queen cuz I would have not been able to stay civil with that man lol

Yes when Aelin was having that sort of dream where she called Maeve “aunt”, at the beginning I was like “what the hell is happening here?” and then when I realized it wasn’t real I was like “Shit Maeve I hate you, you don’t just torture Aelin physically but also psychologically”

Yess, in one moment it only appeared the amount of the blinks without the meaning and I was like “wait what meant this amount of blinks?” lol

(Actually not lol but you know what I mean)

Yeah that’s true. It’s a great connection the one of Aedion and Lysandra’s relationship and Elide and Lorcan’s relationship, it didn’t think of that, I like it!

-Maeve is despicable
-I had to write what the blinks meant on a sticky note cuz I couldn't remember 😅
-PLEASE tell me when you get to the reunion part!!
-there are so many parallels between the couples and the characters it's crazy
-Yrene is perfect for Chaol. I love them so much
-omg the thing with the witches gets a little crazy

lol I had to 😅 I saw a spoiler that the blinks were important and I didn't want to forget so I put it on a sticky note on the inside of the book. I actually annotated a little bit of KoA. I didn't want to fully commit to writing in the book so I got some transparent sticky notes and did my annotations like that. I didn't do the whole book though

some parallels I can think of right now is Manon and Aelin. both trained and raised to be ruthless killers and end up being rulers of a nation that was once destroyed. they also both have a complex past that they kind of have to accept and overcome in order to become the people that they need to be.

I already read the rescue part, here it is how I experienced it:
- I get desperate at the part where Aelin couldn’t take off the iron things, now I understand the phrase you mentioned before “take it off”.
- I completely 100% understand Aelin and that she doesn’t trust that all what’s happening is real because of all she’d endured, but PLEASE, I was waiting for the most perfect kiss in the whole world.
- I almost collapsed believing that Fenrys would die, I just couldn’t accept it.
- I’m really happy that Rowan took revenge on Cairn for what he did to Aelin.

Now I’m in chapter 34 (Aedion and all the war) but I’ll continue tomorrow.

ooof I hope you had some tissues with you during that time. the whole "take it off" moment had me sobbing. the whole thing wrecked me, Aelin desperate to be free from the mask and gloves, Rowan freaking out cuz he doesn't know how to help and take it off her. Lorcan and Elide just standing there also freaking out. I was unwell lol.
I also lost it when I thought Fenrys was going to die. I could not be consoled like I want to cry right now just thinking about it. I'm so happy he is blood sworn to Aelin.
I wish we could have seen Rowan take his revenge on Cairn. in HoA Aelin told Rowan that if he whipped her she would skin him. and I think it's so beautiful and poetic that that's what Rowan did to Cairn.

Oh yes it also wrecked me. The worst part of it was that I was reading in the afternoon (not in the night) and I couldn’t cry because right next to me was my sister bothering me (I almost kill her), so I was desperate because of what I was reading and also because the atmosphere was anything but what I expect.

Yes, aelin did very well with the blood oath, I was like THANK YOU SO MUCH

Hey yall im currently at heir of fire on ch 32 and im also having a hard time reading it and im finding it slow but i heard it picks up so im excited

ugh that's the worst especially when the book starts to get good. I was at my parents when I got to the rescue scene and literally went to the back yard to finish reading cuz they were being too distracting lol and I needed to cry in peace.

@parrandis the first half of HoF is kinda rough to get through but it definitely picks up and is so good! keep pushing through it! it'll all make sense and be worth it in QoS

And what do you think (or what you thought while you were reading the books) about Aedion and Lysandra. Like it happens to me that I understand and feel sorry for each of them… like I almost wanted to kill Aedion for how he treated Lysandra (specially in the part when he said to her useless or sth of the sort) but I also understand that Aedion is in a very difficult situation (with the war, not knowing how Aelin is, and more things)…

their relationship made me so sad and I wanted to go in the book and do and do an intervention for them lol. like I completely understand Aedion and why he's so pissed off. Lyssandra and Aelin made that plan without consulting him when the plan includes him. cuz I find it fucked up (SPOILERS) that they thought he'd be okay with Lyssandra pretending to be Aelin, having kids with her but Rowan rasing HIS kids. like that's so messed up to not include him in the plan. especially with his background with Gavriel.
and I also understand Lyssandra trying to do what's best, honor Aelin, fight for Terrasen, and also be with Aedion. the whole situation makes me sad and angry

Yesss I want them together again. Please tell me that they will be back together!!

Okay so by far I have started Part 2 (Gods and Gates). Like Aelin and the rest were heading to Terrasen while passing through the West Fangs or sth of the sort.

Also Dorian is in morath and I can’t believe that he’s allying with Maeve!!!!! And I get really stressed when he shifted into Vernon and was speaking to Erawan, I was like RUN FAR FROM HIM lol
