The Earthen Pioneer Part 1 (Mooi Series) by N.R.B. Marcum

What would you do, if Earth fell to invasion?

For Omid, the question never seemed to come up. He was always too busy fighting, thieving, and causing mayhem to think on it; until the aliens that had taken Earth looked to take him too. Cast adrift and on the run, Omid finds himself swept far from the planet. There, in the world of aliens, he meets with an unexpected hope, and is soon the center of a mounting plan to free Earth of its captors, once and for all.

But the world of the aliens, the world of Mooi, is not so simple as it seems, and while he enters into it with the intent of helping Earth, he soon finds that few things he sees and learns are as they appear. To get back to Earth, and to find a way to help his people, he will have to navigate a world intent on sucking him into its depths and entombing him there.

Will he make it?

SAVIOUR REIMAGINED by James Perrett

Rewritten and Reimagined, with fresh content and a brand new ending, author James Perrett presents, ‘Saviour Reimagined’, a mind-bending, psychosexual (mis)adventure set in a Post Pandemic Britain.

*Trigger Warning* Please be aware that while fictional, this novel includes graphic descriptions of mental health, drug use, suicide, childhood sexual abuse, physical, and emotional abuse. Please be sensible. If any of these things impact you, then perhaps this isn't the book for you.

“I simply have no explanation as to why, at the very height of my loneliness, that I took to emailing myself back and forth. Yeah, you read that right. One person, having a two-way conversation, with himself. I'm ashamed now, but at the time it was an important tool that let me explore the duplicity of my personality”

Welcome to Post Pandemic Britain!
Jake Marine has a pretty good life; wife, child, a job which he’s pretty damn good at. He believes he is the people's ‘Saviour’. To be honest, a lot of people think he's a bit of a d**k. And he's not doing himself any favours. Is a chance meeting with a mysterious Femme Fatale the catalyst for change or is Jake about to enter into a very dangerous game?

Jake is lost and just wants to find a way home.

Praise for the 1st Edition of ‘Saviour’

“The book does feel a little autobiographical. But again, I can't decide if that's what it is or if that's what the author wants you to think. Either way, it's a good read, especially if you like The Hunger Games/ Orwell’s 1984/ the apocalyptic genre” (Amazon Customer, August 2017)

“Is it real a dream, a past life.... well I still don't know. But I'm glad that I spent a few quid for the madness of the ride!!!! (Amazon Customer, January 2018)

I have taken a long draught from the Kindle Vella Kool-Aid. It is a post-apocalyptic story about an eight-year-old kid who attaches himself to his neighbor. Together they go on an adventure to regain much of what humanity has lost. At least as much as possible in one lifetime.

I just published the twelfth episode and have the story plotted out for many more. Kindle will let you read the first three episodes for free. Please take a look and if you feel inclined, leave a review.

Shawn Adair | 7 comments My second book, 'Demons, the Great White North and the Blind Detective', published by Atmosphere Press, comes out January 15. It is somewhat darker and more serious than my first book, 'How the Blind Detective and His Seeing Eye Dog Saved the Narwhals,' published last year. The new book is a bit scary and explores multiple demonic agencies, most of which are plausible, if not inevitable. Even more, I think I can promise you that beyond the exciting story, you will find this one of the most intellectually thought-provoking sci-fi novels ever.
If you would be willing to read and review the book, I would be delighted to email you a copy of the manuscript in Word format.
If you are interested in exchanging reviews, I am an omnivorous reader and would be willing to read anything, except for romances.

Moises Davidescu | 3 comments Hi, my name is Moises Davidescu.

I just published my sci-fi novel: The Temporal Viewer on Amazon Kindle.

I would love to receive feedback and suggestions.

Here's the book description:

Before inventing photography, movies, video recorders, or digital storage, historical events could only be preserved using handwritten documents, printed books, paintings, carvings in stones and monuments, or drawings, but we never had authentic images or sound from these events.

Until now.

An extraterrestrial device, capable of extracting historical audiovisual information captured and stored inside common objects, is discovered by a young physicist as part of an old broken contraption forgotten in his attic.

The events take place all over Paris where Dr. Jay Davies, Dr. Yvonne Lefèvre, and a team of devoted colleagues and friends face criminals, foreign governments, and even an evil Artificial Intelligence, trying to prevent this alien machine from being weaponized or falling into the wrong hands.

Find out how the first proof of extraterrestrial intelligent life can change History forever.

E.K. Frances | 9 comments Hi everyone!

My name is E.K. Frances and I am the author of The Hybrid. It is set in the future where some humans have powers which are either Light or Dark – these humans are called alphas.

The Hybrid is the first in a series and follows the story of Sebastian who joins an academy to learn how to control his powers. He is forced to join the Dark but is actually Light. It’s quite a dark novel in which Sebastian faces rejection from the Light alphas and brutality from Dark alphas. It’s ultimately about his path – whether he will choose Light or Dark in the face of incredible challenges.

I would love to get any feedback – good or bad (but hopefully good :))

Don Vodka | 10 comments https://www.amazon.com/Don-Vodka/e/B0...

Hi. I'm Donnalee and I have a few books out, including a sci fi series. The first book is FREE (yay!) and book 2 is super cheap. All my books are on Amazon, Apple, Indigo, Kobo, and other sites in eBook, paperback, and hardcover. Check them out and enjoy!

Alien War 1 - Invasion Earth takes place right here on Earth, in 2021. But the aliens have been searching for us for 20,000 years. They had attacked our origin planet of Haven, and chased us across the galaxy, to three habitable planets. We hid. We thought we were safe. We forgot. We regressed. We started over. But they never forgot. And then they found us. After destroying two planets populated by humans, they turned their eyes towards Earth. The last planet with humans. And from that moment on, we were doomed.
But then there was hope. It came in the form of an avenging angel. Armed with one of the alien's own powerful weapons. A human, created with DNA taken from the aliens themselves. And raging with hatred for what they had done to her planet.

Alien War 2 - Sleeper Cells, is Dazzle’s first book, and it gets widgy! Tequila! Boyfriends! Sleepovers! Some bad words, alcohol, and lots of fun. Aliens, too. Girl Power!
The action is set in 2039, 18 years after the first invasion. DAZZLE, the hybrid daughter of a father from Earth and a mother from a faraway galaxy, was born with meta-human attributes, including strength, speed and intelligence, and she knows no fear. 17-year-old Dazzle also has something the invading creatures are not aware of -- alien DNA gene-splicing, resulting in her being equipped with razor-sharp fangs and steel-like claws. And worse for the aliens, she has a quick temper and a violent disposition. Straight fire.

Barak (Tnarian Universe, #1) by Terri Cannon
Barak

Aliens captured Lucille and many other women to be experimented on using the drug bliss. She couldn't understand why the aliens would want her. She wasn't supermodel pretty. Lucy is what people describe as "plus-sized" or "big-boned". Her only redeeming feature would be her eyes. They were so blue that they were almost purple. Many men fell for her just for her odd-colored eyes. It wasn't for her baby-making abilities. Her doctors told her she was infertile, and her would-be husband skipped town as soon as he found out.

Once she found out that he called off the wedding and left her, Lucy got drunk at a bar. That was when some sick-minded aliens abducted her on her way back to her apartment. To top the cake? The aliens that captured her and other women crashed on an alien planet. Unfortunately, the ship could not be fixed, and apparently, the natives were hostile. Just her luck!

Barak Von Slithe and several of his warriors were outcasts. His people did not prize their coloring and rejected them for breeders. Most Queztal females wanted more brightly colored males. They did not want males that reminded them of the sky, rivers, or dirt. They also wanted males that were more slender and easily controlled. The females did not want stubborn warriors and had a mind of their own. Now he and his warriors spend their lives patrolling the borders, keeping the nobility of their race safe.

Yet, each of them dreamed of being able to court and have a female of their own. So they build their nests and decorate them in vain. Knowing no female would ever choose them. However, when a giant fireball streaked across the sky one day, Barak felt a pull deep in his chest. Something called to him. Now, he and his warriors' race across the lands of his people to find what calls to him.

This book is a part of the Tnarian Universe series and can be read as a standalone. You can read the books in any order. It is a guaranteed HEA! No cliffhanger, no cheating, etc. Just a lot of steamy scenes and adult content!

**WARNING** This book may contain triggers for some. In addition, some material may be disturbing for those sensitive to drugs, sexual situations, language, and/or abuse.

“In a city ruled by greed, where does that leave love?”

The City is governed by the grim law of profit and loss. No exceptions, no place for compassion, pleasure, the warmth of friendship or the ardour of love. David, an Enforcer committed to the Law, meets Sarah, a villager from outside, and begins to understand that a different, more joyful, life is possible.

"I really think this is a book that would appeal to many readers. It has the political intrigue of business against people, there is a thriller element and environmental issues. A tense story that I adored and I would definitely recommend." Goodreads Review

Don Vodka | 10 comments ALIEN WAR 6 is dropping soon on Amazon, Apple, Indigo, KOBO and many other book sites. All the usual suspects are involved - Dazzle, her Girl Army, the CIA, FBI, Jinxy.

The aliens have brought some friends as well, including the horde, robots, human clones.

There will be abductions, battles, covert CIA black-ops, flying saucers, sleepovers, Tequila shots (of course!).

Dazzle has meta-human attributes, including incredible strength, superfast speed, off the chart intelligence, and mind-reading abilities. Oh yeah, she has fangs and claws that grow when things get widgy. And when things settle down she slips into her normal teenage girl DNA, and dreams about boys. That is when she is at her most vulnerable, and the aliens know it.

John Warner | 4 comments Harbinger in the Night

Hey Folks,
Harbinger is set in the near future, roughly 30-50 years from now and begins with a bit of mystery. The book is hard scifi in that it works with known physics and subjects within our technical reach. There is an appreciable bit of AI within the book including one of the characters.

I would be interested in discussing what you liked/didn't like about the plot/characters if you have read it. My co-author and I are working on the second book in the series and would enjoy any input.

Don Vodka | 10 comments My newest book is out on Amazon. It's the 6th in the Alien War Series. I called it Prey For The Aliens. It's sci-fi but funny, too. Here is an excerpt...

*****

“Can we change the topic?” asked Mischa. “Because I’ve got a question.”
“Go ahead, Meesh,” said Dazzle.
“Okay, but don’t get mad at me or anything,” said Mischa.
“I could never get mad at you,” said Dazzle.
“We’ll see. Anyway, everyone has heard the rumors about aliens and human abductions. So, it makes me wonder.”
“Wonder what? And what rumors?”
“Did the aliens do stuff to you when they had you on their spaceship?” asked Mischa.
“What do you mean … stuff?” asked Dazzle.
“You know, like did they probe you or anything?”
“Probe me?” asked Dazzle.
Mischa leaned in closer and nodded her head slightly. Everyone kind of stopped what they were doing and waited for Dazzle’s response.
“If they did, I’m here for you,” said Mischa. “We all are.”
“You know I’m not that kind of girl, Mischa,” said Dazzle. “So, the answer is a big NO.”
“Okay,” said Mischa. “But lots of people have been probed by aliens and can’t remember it. Just saying.”
“I would remember,” said Dazzle. “I remember everything. Aliens didn’t do anything to me.”
“You should go to the sheriff’s office and pick up an assault kit, just to be on the safe side,” said Janelle.
“What’s an assault kit?” asked Dazzle
“An assault kit is like a covid test,” said Mischa. “But you don’t stick it up your nose.”
“Then where—”
Mischa leaned in close and whispered in her ear.
“Forget it,” said Dazzle. “I’m not going to the sheriff’s office for that.”

Andrew Gillsmith Hi everyone!

Title: Our Lady of the Artilects

Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Our-Lady-Artil...

Blurb: Father Gabriel Serafian, an exorcist who left his former life as a neuroscientist and coder, finds himself caught up in a conspiracy of global – and possibly supernatural – dimensions.

Climate change has altered coastlines, and Nigeria's brutal, sectarian civil war has modified the maps. Artilects, artificially intelligent androids, are luxury items, and most of the human population injects noetic implants to enhance cognition and treat mental illness.

On the eve of reconciliation between China and the Roman Catholic Church following a half-century-long cold war, a number of the artilects experience a Marian Apparition. Believing it to be a hack, authorities hope to contain the potential scandal. But their plans are upended when an artilect belonging to Amari Okparu – the wealthiest man in Africa and major benefactor of the Church – shows up at Our Lady of Nigeria Basilica, claiming to be possessed. A diverse team, including tough-as-nails imperial Praetor Namono Mbambu, Ilham Tiliwadi (a Uyghur Sufi), a Filipino Emperor, and Serafian's ex-fiance, an astrophysicist named Sarah Baumgartner, join Serafian to help unravel the mystery of the Apparition and the possession.

Our Lady of the Artilects, a mind-bending supernatural science fiction novel, is “the Exorcist meets Westworld,” with a dash of Snow Crash in the tradition of thoughtful Catholic science fiction like A Canticle for Leibowitz.

Colleen Winter (colleenwinter) | 1 comments Hi Everyone!

My current series is The Gatherer series, a near future thriller. The first two books The Gatherer and The Disruptors, are already out with the third scheduled for April 2023.

The pitch goes like this:

Storm Freeman invents The Gatherer, and brings free, infinite energy to the world. It ushers in an era of decadence and luxury like the world has never seen, until people start getting sick, including her.

This is where the story begins, with Storm having to seek out and destroy what she created. So if you like near future action, with strong, whip-smart female characters, this could be for you. Hope you enjoy!

Catherine Smaridge | 90 comments I'm a sci fi murder mystery writer. I'm writing a series named Guardian Chronicles. It's about the Guardians who are fundamentally the police/military force of the Seven Systems, but their space division is also the policeforce for the Galactic Council members. Each book is a stand alone, but each is connected to the other by the advancement of the private and professional lives of the four main characters.
I have two books on Goodreads at the moment, written under my author name of Kitty Cooper. They are Masquerade and The Spyrian.

G.J. Herman | 2 comments Vanir (Arcworld Book 2) by G.J. Herman

Greetings Goodreads community of readers and writers! I'm proud to announce my new hybrid book series, the second of which kicks off the space opera.

Arcworld continues with the story of Samuel, out of place and out of time, thrust into a reality he didn’t choose. From adversaries hell bent on his destruction to religions that hint of his past, he must survive long enough to tell his own tale and save those he loves.

Book Two in the Arcworld series chronicles how the Third Age of Man turns to the Fourth. 7,500 years of human history results in the story of one man and his rise to be the new messiah, much to his consternation.

Lee Savage | 1 comments Hello!

My name is Lee Savage and I'm the author of the first two (soon to be three) books in The Savage Universe series. Check out the newest one here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...#

The current books in the series follow the vampire Jonathan Cross as he travels through space searching for a cure to his condition. Along the way he meets aliens, space pirates, mercenaries, and other colorful citizens. Sprinkled throughout is social commentary woven into a fun, quick read.

I'd love to have people read, review, and comment.

Darryl Breland (darrylbreland) | 9 comments Hello everyone! I’m glad to join your community. My first two books were recently consolidated into one paperback and is available on Amazon.

UnLucky Double is a science fiction about time traveler who has the unfortunate attribute of looking exactly like the infamous monster Lucky Luciano.

I hope you will check it out and provide honest reviews. If you have a book which you think I would enjoy, please message me and I will check it out and provide a review as well.

It also available as e-books but consolidated.

John Jr. | 10 comments I wrote an escapist, light-ish post-apocalyptic adventure romance as kind of a stress relief during the pandemic's early days:

35 years after a devastating plague, people have gathered into settlements for mutual protection. Two young settlers, Ben and Tasha, fall in love, build a home, celebrate their pairing in a hot spring cavern, and help keep their people safe as their settlement grows.

I re-read my 9200-word novella last week and didn't want to change a word, so I figure that it's safe to show to a wider audience. Its title is Waterfall, and while it isn't on Amazon yet, I published it to Smashwords, which distributed it to Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo / Walmart, scribd (which has the best preview) and just about everywhere else. The easiest way to find it might be to look up my name: "John C. Todd, Jr."

I characterize it as a New Adult work, but of course that doesn't preclude it from being counted as SF.

Speaking of Amazon, anyone ever try retroactively publishing to Amazon, and have advice to offer? My hope was that I could publish it once and have it automatically go everywhere, but Amazon doesn't seem to play that way anymore, and this site seems more tied to Amazon than ever now that Amazon owns it.

Catherine Smaridge | 90 comments I write sci fi murder mysteries set in a different galaxy. My detectives are aliens and are not only the police force for their own planets, but for the Galactic Council as well. My first two novels, Masquerade and The Spyrian are already on Goodreads and Amazon and the third book Blue Spark is coming out soon. All written under my author name of Kitty Cooper.

Leia Barko | 20 comments Hi everyone, I'm Leia Barko, author of the recently published YA dystopian/sci-fi book, Ruffian. Here is the synopsis:
Astra Hal is a Ruffian, a member of a secret organization created by the artificial intelligence Sigma, designed to be humanity’s last hope in case all else fails.

Hendric Sanjor is the son of a representative in the United Republic of Global Welfare, the ruling body of the world.

When a virus of unknown origins starts spreading across the planet and Hendric’s family is accused of starting it to gain political advantage, Astra is sent to investigate the issue. When it becomes clear that the accusation is false, the two form an uneasy alliance to hunt down the real perpetrator behind the pandemic. But the puzzles, criminals, and politics they weave through can in no way prepare them for the dark secrets they are about to uncover.

If anyone has any questions or you're interested in reviewing for a free copy, IM me or reach out at [email protected]. Thanks!

Lucilla (lucillalin) | 6 comments Here's my first ever English-translated novel "Green World"! It was originally published in Finnish at the Helsinki Worldcon 2017 but I translated it for fun and put it on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKMWXXC8

I advertise it as a "provocative eco-utopian-dystopian space adventure" and it has very dodgy characters and unreliable narrators, strange monsters and mysterious trees.
