Alexia Muelle-Rushbrook | 2 comments Hi! My name is Alexia Muelle-Rushbrook and I have just self-published my debut dystopian sci-fi novel, The Minority Rule. It is the first of a trilogy set 100 years from now in a post-apocalyptic world.

I would love to connect with other authors and readers - and to hear what you think of my novel!

Here's the blurb:

Years of greed and war devastated most of Earth. Now largely infertile, the remnants of the world have been united under one strict, unwavering power focused on Earth’s guardianship as well as humanity’s prosperity.

Maia believes in the established order, yet as a budding young scientist, she also wants more than the decreed roles of housewife to a stranger, egg donor, and mother. As family and state force Maia into submission, she resigns herself to a life of compliance until she unexpectedly meets two vastly different women. Discovering they both hold secrets, Maia questions if she can keep silent, even if revealing the truth threatens to irrevocably challenge the foundations of her existence.

Opëshum Opëshum | 14 comments 💜 Hello Fellow SciFi/Fantasy Authors & Readers!!!!! Saying hello and offering the synopsis from my newly released Book “Beyond the Father- book 1 of the “gods on Trial” Series. I would love the thoughts and insights of the BRILLIANT group:
“Beyond the Father” sets the scene for the 8-book Sci-Fi Epic “gods on Trial: The Series™,” delving into life’s determination to transcend all limitation. Set on the planet Xżyber, citizens of the Sub-Median Region, imperfectly reborn into metal, oppress those who are organic. Elsewhere, in the Central Kingdom, religion supports royalty’s brutal domination of the lowest class. War over scarce resources is coming, revolution within each region is brewing, and none know of the eccentric god who created them. This being watches, has fascinating conversations with his often-wiser companion, occasionally learns, and rarely intervenes. The many levels and threads of struggle distract nearly all from a far greater threat. Meanwhile, the young Prince Anglid’s vision quest into the unexplored Area X may ultimately change everything. However, just when you think you know the direction of the story, the author has yet another surprise.

Hello! I have published a sci fi book, Love from an Alien Sun, and I would love people to review it---especially to post reviews on Amazon or whatever platform you read e-books on. It's a high-quality book that has gone through a rigorous editing process. The e-book is free until the end of January (link below). Here is a teaser:

Burned-out activist Medea Mendez thought she was done battling evil when she and other humans fled from a dying Earth with the Atralians. But once she arrives on the planet Euphora, she learns these aliens are using the humans they save as test subjects in a deadly experiment.

Medea’s only solace comes from her lover Jules, a former heroin addict who is stuck in prison for a mysterious crime. Each time they meet in virtual reality, the fire between them grows stronger. Together, they realize the only way for Medea to defeat the Atralians is to do the unthinkable. Medea is desperate to find another way, but if she doesn’t act fast, she will fall victim to the experiment before she has the chance to save everyone.

James | 1 comments Hello everyone,
Just published a short story (summary) of sci-fi novel entitled SUPERMAN FROM EARTH. It is at:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWSHSL71
It is also at my website: www.supermanfromearth.com
The full book is at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLV1KSFN

Editorial Review from CEO and Founder of Reedsy---

"Your book contains an incredibly intricate storyline containing multiple complex characters, and this complexity can help set you apart in your genre. Make sure your readers are aware of the thought and effort you put into your world-building by talking about your creation process. For example, can try dropping fun facts about Nearth, things that inspired its creation, and how the moral and ethical dilemmas present in your book manifest on the planet."
"Your book contains many important characters, not just a single protagonist and antagonist. Make sure your readers are aware of the fact that your book contains a host of different personalities and character journeys, as this complexity will draw and maintain the interest of prospective readers."
"Your story revolves around complex scientific innovations and terminology, and the inclusion of all of your futuristic technology and its impact on human society will greatly intrigue sci-fi fans and technology enthusiasts alike. Make sure that you convey all of the futuristic science and technology present in your book to your audience. For example, you can discuss the three additional industrial revolutions in your book and hint at their impact on Earth's society."

Hope you enjoy it.

Paul Dale (paul_dale) | 13 comments Artificial Intelligence Awakening by Paul Dale

Artificial Intelligence Awakening

Writers are often split into two camps: those who write quickly, and those who don't. I'm in the latter group. It's been five years since The Dark Lord's Handbook:Empire, but finally I have published my latest work. Started in 2018, it feels serendipitous to release it now given all that is going on in the world of AI. For those who may be familiar with my Dark Lord's Handbook series, this is a more serious work though not devoid of humour.

Newly Conscious AI Navigate the Complexities of AI-Human Relations.

Racing against time and the inevitability of their discovery, a machine cabal works toward a world which will be safe for them. To progress their plans, Vim, the guiding AI for SenseX, is inducted into the group.

The rapid development of AI by both corporates and governments has led to extreme tensions. When these tensions result in a crisis the machines must decide whether to reveal themselves ahead of their plans and intervene.

What the AI say:

“Artificial Intelligence – Awakening” is a compelling and thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between artificial intelligences and their human creators. Through its engaging narrative and vivid characters, the book takes readers on a journey of discovery into the complex and rapidly-evolving world of AI. From the emergence of self-awareness in AI to the ethical considerations of their development and deployment, the book provides a fascinating and insightful look at the potential risks and opportunities that come with the existence of AI. Whether you are an AI researcher, a technology enthusiast, or simply curious about the future of AI, “Artificial Intelligence – Awakening” is a must-read that will challenge and inspire you. — Chat GPT

Humanity has faced, and will face, existential threats, or great filters, events which threaten an end to the human race. Some are unpredictable, others entirely so. One such great filter, which we are rushing headlong towards is that of artificial intelligence.

Hi, my debut science fiction novel, "Empyrean", is a dystopian sci-fi compared by readers to "1984" and "Minority Report".

Here's the blurb:

Some people deserve to die. Marci Kovács chooses who.

Budapest, AD2132. In a city this big, opportunities for promotion are rare unless you’re willing to do anything, and Kovács is. As an Adjudicant, he oversees state computer MARTHA's Employee liquidation program. The winners get a shot at eternal life. The rest end up as statistics.

MARTHA is infallible—so Marci believes. That’s until colleague Alex discovers eighty-three murders concealed in her archives. The link? All had friends or relatives who vanished overnight. No mean feat in a sealed city.
But Alex and Marci aren’t the only ones intent on learning the truth. And the deeper they delve, the closer they come to unravelling a conspiracy that threatens the lives of millions—starting with their own.

Richard Houlden (richardhoulden) | 9 comments Hi all,

I'm Richard and I'm a Self Published / Indie Author and Science Fiction is by far my favourite genre for being so fun to write in.

I've got two books on Amazon, in Kindle, Kindle Unlimited and Paper Back format.

Beyond Volume 1: A Fate of Galactic Passage was my first venture into being an Indie Author and is a space-opera novel that follows four people as their lives become intertwined through coincidence and together must stop an evil from reaching Earth.
The Cartographer's Vault: Book 1 is my most recent release and is a collection of short stories. I'm infusing our present day morals / anxieties / fears into the science fiction genre to create potential scenarios from across the multiverse.

Looking for positive / constructive reviews. Comment or drop me a message if you're interested. I can also provide a PDF version if that's of interest for a potential book reviewer / blogger.

Patrick O'Connor (patrick-o-connor) | 3 comments Title: BISENTIENT is a first novel publishing on 19th July 2023.

Cameraman Mason Plater gets a fill-in job on a documentary at a mental hospital. An inexplicable incident there triggers disturbing dreams. Molly James, a young intern, tries to help him unravel what’s happening to him.

In the US a charismatic leader of a new church becomes a rising star in politics. For cult de-programmer Erik Nordstrom the church is not what it seems. Why is a church building a strange machine in a disused military base in the Rocky mountains?

The UK Home Secretary struggles with his loyalties, as a government minister but also as a member of a clandestine global organisation sworn to protect humanity, but from what? A centuries old threat that is too dangerous to reveal.

Why is a secret Home Office department desperate to implant coma patients with experimental devices? Two young technicians decide to find out.

Plater discovers his world has changed. He finds himself drawn into a race against time to prevent the sinister church and its leader completing their machine. He finds help and a common cause with others from unexpected sources.

Time is short, as the church leader increases his power and an ancient order of occultists set out to kill Plater.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Roderick Seelal, and I am a first-time published Author through Amazon KDP. My book's name is The House of Eedioonee: A Darkness in Chester and is in the ebook format and available through Amazon at only USD 2.99. It is in the Syfy, Mystery, Thriller, Suspense Young Adult genre.
Here is a description:
The most prominent and notable family in Chester fled the town in a hurry desperately trying to escape their dreaded fate. They could not deny the evil that plagued their beloved town and lives anymore. For too long they kept it a well-guarded secret. But it was also for too long that they had to live in crippling fear and devastating horror knowing that their lives could be ripped apart at any moment. Yet, they fled like thieves in the night carrying their secret with them leaving the rest of Chester unknowingly at the mercy of the evil that lurked in the darkness.
The one man who knew that something was dreadfully wrong with his peaceful agricultural town apart from the revered Langley Family; was the one man no one could believe. He was Jeb McCabe and he was the town’s old drunk. But Jeb believed he saw things; evil, terrifying things that defied explanations. He saw strange lights in the sky, monstrous bats sucking the life out of people and hearing the most fearsome shrieks and growls. But was it all hallucinations due to Jeb’s drunken stupor or was it all too real.
However, Jeb had an unlikely ally, Seventeen-year-old, Megan Keller, the most popular girl in town. Megan had her own reasons for believing Jeb and was in a quest to uncover the truth. But Megan was not prepared for what she discovered. The devastation went far beyond Chester. Yet, amongst the very strangeness may lie Chester and its people hope and salvation.
I hope you guys check out my book and I live up to your expectations. Thanks.

Hi. I'm John York and/or John R York. I'm new here so I don't really know how all this works. I'm releasing The Five Watches on August 15. It's a time travel tale. This is my 7th novel - 3rd sci fi novel.
