Ha, not lost, just rushed. I'm doing a bunch of stuff that I'm happy to do---it will just keep me "too busy" for a few weeks!

Thanks Vincent for forming this group.
I've a finished MS for a YA book and looking for readers of YA fiction.
How will you separate out published books from those on the possible launch pad?
I review for two main-line authors and love to read a potential best seller. If a book is published I feel my arms are somewhat tied and whatever my views, reviews or comments they are muted to an extent. Curious...

Thank you ... I've been looking for something exactly like this.

As an old dodderer (is that spelled right?)I verge on the technophobic, so please excuse any signs of techno struggles in my relationship with the group. I look forward to getting more involved as I find my way round the site. It will be rather slow going as I am dependent on a stick for support!
If anyone cares to have a look at my occasional blog it may be found at http://bobp-fromtheheart.blogspot.com/

Vince--Thank you for setting up this group! It's a great idea, but (as someone else said) a lot of work for you.
I'm glad to see all the new authors and readers on the group!
It's my hope that everyone will find a new connection.

And for the record, I think this group is a great concept - which is why I want it popping up on every Goodread Member's screen.
Hi Laura,
Yes, I've noticed that too when I've searched for it on Goodreads.
I'm not certain how they tag/assign groups.
Perhaps someone could teach me so I could see if there's anything I can do to increase its views.

Thanks for the info.
I changed the category specifically to "authors," which will at least help writers find the group. (It's a bit tricky, because we are also looking for readers. Perhaps the group invites will help get the word out for this category.)
I hope this helps our membership!

??? I replied to this but my post isn't showing up ??? Curious.
Anyway, my comment was that on other groups I've read that GR Readers are often proactively trying to support GR Authors. This new category will help them if they are so inclined. So well done Vince!

Does this mean we only get one category at a time? How limiting.
G'day Vincent, everyone & Marc Wambolt who invited me, I am another Aussie & have been known to write a little poetry.(-:

I am beyond delighted to be here as I have been looking for some awesome book clubs to join, and by chance stumbled upon this site. Here, I am finding everything I could possibly be looking for, and I anticipate participating in the discussions.

hey just wanted to say hi Charisma and yes this is possibly the best book site I have found yet. So many great authors and fans of reading that it makes it so exciting to chat with people on here. Also you will find your list or to-read books will get extremely big. Are you an author or a reader or both?

Steven,
I love discussing books and by discussing, I mean intelligent discussions. I am both a reader, an author, an editor, and a proofreader.

I look forward to talking about books with you on here and maybe getting a chance to read something of yours someday.
Wow. This is such a good idea to connect authors to readers. I'm new to Goodreads and I was looking for interesting groups to join. This one just stood out. I hope to have a lot of good conversations with everyone here.
It's good to have you aboard, O. and Caitlin!
I'm sure you'll find some wonderful books to read.

Hey Caitlin, this Goodreads site is awesome. I think your list of to-reads will sky rocket and you will meet so many interesting authors and readers. Also check out the drawings to win some books. What types of books do you like?

I am so excited to join! I am author and I am happy to know there is a place I can chat with readers and authors. Just to give info on myself, my book, "No One in New Orleans Will Die" will be released in April of this year. I also have a blog: shalontel.blogspot.com. Currently, I am in New Orleans actively promoting my book. I look forward to being an active member of this club!
