I never had to look for a community of book-lovers, until I came up with this idea yesterday:

http://storiesaboutbooks.tumblr.com/
So I'm being honest about it :)

Definitely like the organisation of this community here and look forward to finding some good books and great stories!

Hello, I live in Tennessee. I have four grown sons and grandchildren. Now I'm at home with a cat and my husband. The cat is very spoiled. I love to read books. Have a hard time rating books. Would like to write a memoir or something one day. Also, would love to travel.

Karen Zacharias (karenzach) | 7 comments Hello all: I'm Karen. I teach journalism (First Amendment Rights, Media & Culture) at Central Washington University. I worked for many years as a reporter/columnist in a variety of places: Oregon, Washington, North Carolina & Georgia. My husband & I raised four kids to bright, shining adulthood. We are expecting our first grandchild this summer -- we are so excited about that. I also write books. My next book will be out in April, a true crime memoir that addresses child abuse. I do a lot of author interview on my blogsite. Most recently I interviewed Jonathan Odell about his latest novel The Healing. I'll be posting that interview soon. I like non-fiction, but I read a lot of Southern fiction. (*I grew up in the Southeast). If you like Southern Fiction Ann Hite's The Ghost on Black Mountain and Taylor Polities The Rebel Wife are both terrific reads, in addition to The Healing.
Nice to meet you all.
Karen Zacharias

Hi Adriana, We just came back from a trip to Chile and Argentina. We had a fantastically interesting time there. What part of Argentina do you live in? We were in Mendoza, El Calafate, and spent a week in Buenos Aires.

message 130: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 5 comments Hi Lisa, nice to meet you. I live in a pretty city called Tandil, just 4 hours from Buenos Aires. But I was born in Buenos Aires.
I'm glad you enjoy your trip in my country.
I'm travelling to the States in June, my son lives in OKC. I really love your country and culture.
What do you think about Rin tin tin? I think it's not a gripping book

message 131: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisarosenbergsachs) | 66 comments I haven't read Rin Tin Tin. What is it about?

message 132: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 5 comments I've just started. It's about Rin Tin Tin, you know the dog and the different dogs that created the character. His owner's life. Their deep bond. The narration of historical facts that took place when the dog was born, like the War and so on.

message 133: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisarosenbergsachs) | 66 comments Thanks. Maybe I'll put it on my reading list.
