Nomad, I know what you mean about the HPL devotees. They get way sucked into his world. I like some of his ideas and cosmic horror is interesting. I like how he has created a bunch of books that are just for the Chulhu Mythos and kindly allowed other authors to write in his world, which they do even to this day. In fact, I read The Keep by F. Paul Wilson, and he uses a book from the Lovecraftian Mythos. I thought that was pretty cool. However, I can't read so much of him at once. He is best enjoyed in small doses! I think some of the modern Lovecraftian horror suits me more than his original stuff. I know some fans will slap me for saying that. Wikipedia has a very interesting biography of Lovecraft.

That's one of my FAVORITE YA novels!! Etienne! I'm a swoony, pervy 31 year old....loved him! I love that it's not his absolute hotness that makes him so likeable, but his personality and affability that make him hot. The second in the series is really good, too!

Finished the first book last night, can't wait to get the next one.

I just finished Serial Games, and it was quite good. Sort of reminded me of Breakout Kings meets Criminal Minds with a good romance.

Now I am finally reading Anna Dressed in Blood. I've been wanting to read this for a while. And they had it at my library!

Is anyone doing any Halloween/October scary reading?

Hey! Yes, I've seen that one. Someone mentioned it in our other discussion. I've added it to my to-read list. I think the book you're friend is reading is called Hell on Wheels. Maybe, lol? Is she enjoying it?

Serial Games sounds really good, I enjoy both Breakout Kings and Criminal Minds...and of course I like romance.

I thought Anna Dressed in Blood was pretty good, can't wait to see what you think :)

Tammy, I am liking the writing for Anna very much. The author is very good with imagery.

I finished Anna Dressed in Blood and while I liked it, I was disappointed in it. I gave it four stars, but it's on the low end of four stars. I think that I was expecting too much because of the reviews. I'll check out the next book because I did like Anna and Cas. Actually liked Anna more than Cas.

I felt the same way. I enjoyed it, but because I was expecting so much I was disappointed

I typically am the same about books with cliffhangers however, the review by I ♥ Bookie Nookie http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15717721-if-i-were-you sold me.

I am part of her group "Bookie Nookie's Erotic Lending Group" - ( which is amazing in itself-who wants to buy books when people who have the same book interests as you already own it and can loan it to you! )

and were my favorite in the series. I can't wait for especially because the H/H are both New Species.

They were part of my 25 new series for the yearly challenge I'm doing this year... I love them... And so Far I love Brawn and Justice the most... though Slade was right up there too

I am reading Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione. So far I am not very impressed. I am on page 88 and it feels like nothing has happened yet and basically nothing going on in the romance department. Maybe I'm not feeling it because I didn't read the Demonica series.

Does it get better?

I haven't read that series yet...I'm waiting for all four to be out. But from what I remember of Demonica, there was usually some wait time for the romance and/or sexual payoff. But it was worth it! And the Horsemen series is a continuation, from what I understand. Maybe there are some circumstances that are going over your head that are from Demonica.

I really liked it, but it did take some getting used to with all the new players.
