You guys are right even if Shadow Fever answered lots of questions it din't answer all.I am hoping we get to know more about them soon in the spin off.I just hope it would not be Dani's POV because I am not fond of her.

Ah yes, I stumbled while reading this bit now that I remember- remember thinking "is it mac? doesnt sound like mac? then who's he talking about??" I obviously got over it because I forgot all about it. I dont get hung up on those kinds of things figuring they'll tell us eventually.

For some reason that quote makes me think again the theory that he and his band o' beastie boyz were the draghar that were inside Dageus- and it almost fits. "we"

I also think, they would fit with Draghi! But in the book a mention of another race that can move in time, forward and backward, something that the Seelie Fae second queen, can not do. Just another race that will not be Barrons and their beasts?

I don't think they are the Draghi. The Draghi had a women in it to and hteir were thirteen butthere are only 8 or 9 men in Barrons group. they were mercenaries a long time ago in a desert like place. Later (in the quote above)it sounded like they worked for the Seelie Queen or another human queen or important person. He says "we" and "our" so I don't think it was his true love kind of thing. The first time I read it I thought it was the queen and that she did something to them to make them mmortal to work for her so they could gett their revenge for the the people who killed their loves ones while tehy were off being mercenaries. I don't think he meant to kill the fae primcess. No one thought they could be killed. I think it surprised him. Barrons dabbled in the druid art to try and find a way to fix or kill his son. Not because he was one of the dragar in my opinion.

I was just reading KMM's interview with her inspiration for Barrons (Ian Nottingham played by Eric Etebari) and somehow ended up watching this video of him.... He is Barrons for me.

I have to agree with Eva and still remain partial to Karen's inspiration for Barrons.....Mr Eric Etebari! He is ruggedly handsome and has that certain something that could bring JZB to life. Not to mention he's got the acting chops to pull it off.

I think Yancy Butler would make a cute Mac, except I'm not sure she'd make a good blonde. Mac has to dye her hair from blonde to dark and back again.

Wow thanks ladies! I had never heard of Ian Nottingham/Eric Etebari until now and he is the perfect Barrons. Tall, dark, and brooding... my personal favorites in a man! I think I might have to start watching that Witchblade series!

I just saw a photo today of Hugh Jackman that actually gave me shivers. And I thought "BARRONS!" The photo shows him seated, wearing a suit, and looking fierce and oh-so-sensual. Wish I could figure out how to post the picture here.

I love Hugh Jackman! If he just had a little more upper body muscle, he'd make a great Barrons!

YES, Theresa -- I saw the second photo you posted and also thought Barrons... especially after a rough night. The one of him in the striped suit isn't the same I was referring to, though. Let me see if I can find a link to it (I saved it to my computer, but am not sure how to post it on goodreads).

OK, I have to say that when a few of you posted that Joe Manganiello would make a great Barrons, I thought... eh, not so much! He's got too much of a pretty boy face. Then I introduced the series to a friends who happens to be a True Blood fan and she pointed out a picture of him. After seeing the True Blood Werewolf pic from this link below, I thought... yes, he can definitely pull off Barrons with a little more upper body muscle!

This probably doesn't make any sense.... but I can't seperate Joe Manganiello from his True Blood character, he seems so warm and soft. I'm not getting any of that brooding hardness Barrons has. Does that make any sense?

I'm with Jessie- Alcide is Joe to me too and altho I heart Alcide- he aint not barrons!

JZB would be way too hard to cast for me- there's no one like him!

I don't watch True Blood and this is the first picture I've seen of him, so it doesn't have the same affect on me. It's true, no one will ever play Barrons the way we've seen him in our heads, but if they are doing the movie they will have to choose someone attractive, well muscled and tall. If he's a good enough actor, he can pull off the bad ass. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone who can play Barrons as well enough, but I just its not someone puny.

What do you think of Eric Etebari from witchblade? I heard members here say thats who KMM pictured. He's not who I picture in my head as Barrons but I can see him playing Barrons.

No one is as I pcture Barrons, but when I heard about Eric I didn't think much of him. With the exception of the pic he had on FB with the pink ipod, I didn't think he was all that attractive. Then I met him at the L.A. book signing and I thought he was hot! His character in person is very flirty and fun, but if he's a good enough actor and can put on about 20 lbs of muscle, he could pull off Barrons. He is so much more good looking in person that in his pics, so is KMM!

Do you think he now might be too old to play Barrons? Just curious what book signing and I would love to see a pic of him and you at the signing!!!

He is a little old, but with Hollywood magic, I'm sure they can make him seem younger. Although, Barrons' character is mature. He isn't my first choice, but no one really is.

Gandy is perfect as just about anyone. :-) I also picture him as Roarke in J.D. Robb's "In Death" series.

I reckon Manu Bennett could play Barrons, his voice is amazing and he doesn't mind getting naked (he does it a hell of a lot in Spartacus: Blood and Sand!) plus Barrons isn't a pretty boy, he's rough and ready!

Its definitely not for the faint hearted but has some great plots and story lines. Can't get enough of Crixus!

I can see Eric Etebari now as an older Barrons but I think they need a younger actor to play him in the upcoming movie. Late 20s perhaps?

hmmmm....I don't know, I don't want him to be too young or too pretty, I see Barrons as more mature and rugged (obviously good looking but not a pretty boy if you know what I mean?) even though he's described as 'in his thirties' I suppose everyone who reads it has a different picture in their head, just hope they pull it off, roll on 2013 haha!

OMG!! I just watching this video. Never have seen Eric Etebari, and i totally see Barrons. I think i am in love :) :)

So in Faefever, on page 243 in the hardback copy and kind of near the middle if chapter 13, Mac receives an anonymous message and Barrons asked if its from V'lane. Then they share a moment. Mac looks to Barrons for comfort, he tries to resist, but then he says, "Do not show it to me again?" Mac asked what he would do and he replies "what's is in my nature, to get inside". But I'm just wondering what "it" is? What is he talking about there? Any answers?

So what is Barron and his group? I know they call themselves beasts.
And how did they get started?
