TPBM judges their own mistakes far more harshly than the mistakes of others.

message 8162: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments That is 100% true for me, Adrian. I'm my own worst critic.

message 8171: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4474 comments Nope. Stopped watching Smackdown sometime after I was done middle school. I do still kind of see the appeal though. My favorite wrestlers are either gone or are probably no longer the focus of the show now.

TPBM has listened to and enjoyed rap music.

message 8172: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments Rap used to be my favorite kind of music back in the mid-2000's. I liked listening to Immortal Technique, A Tribe Called Quest, and De La Soul. These days it's about heavy metal for me. I never forget my rap roots, though, because listening to that kind of music was a huge influence on my poetry.

TPBM’s favorite love song is “I Burn For You” by The Police.

TPBM thinks Dr. Love sounds less like the name of a self-help guru and more like the name of a perverted dentist.

Why a dentist?!?

message 8185: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments Lee-lette wrote: "Why a dentist?!?"

As if people needed more reasons to fear going to the dentist. Hehe!

TPBM prefers having a shower to taking a bath.

message 8188: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments Absolutely. I lived in a shoddy house in Chehalis, Washington in the 90's and it had a bath instead of a shower. I dreaded getting in the tub every time I needed to, which was a lot since I was in middle school and going through...changes.

TPBM listens to radio on a tablet or plays videos of songs on YouTube.

message 8192: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments I do both of those things, except instead of a tablet, I listen to rock and metal music stations on my TV. If it wasn't for those stations, I would have never known about bands like Nothing More, Halestorm, and In This Moment.

TPBM can tell if he or she is mentally tired by raising his or her eyebrows and checking for a heavy or numb feeling in the brain.

message 8193: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Somewhat, not reliably.

TPBM either doesn't touch their current book that day or reads at least 50 pages, nothing in between.

message 8194: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10113 comments On the days when I felt numb in the brain, I'd avoid reading in general for fear that I'd fall asleep or not absorb any information. Now that I'm getting used to using my CPAP machine, those days are pretty much over.

I have not and am unlikely to. I have entered a phase of not watching movies. Not exactly sure why not,and at one time I would not have imagined such a thing. Life has odd turns, at times.
