What Are You Reading?

I am reading

Fire by Kristin Cashore"
YAY! :D"
I barely started, because I just finished another book, but the Prologue about Leck was like...very disturbing.
So I'm reading
13 Little Blue Envelopes...
for the second time.
And I just read... Falling in Love with English Boys...
last night.
And I also checked out The Wonder Spot from the library today,
I'm planning on reading 100 books this year... 1 and a half down so far.

Oh yes … very O_o

Just checked out Crash, by J.G. Ballard. I guess it's about a bunch of people who get sexually aroused by getting in car wrecks, and then crazy erotic dreams and stuff go down. My kind of thing.

YES!
YES!
I'm so happy! I'm going to start reading it tonight after dinner. And I have Monsters of Men to so I can go straight into reading it.
LOVE THESE BOOKS SO MUCH.
LOVE THESE BOOKS SO MUCH.
;akf;skdfjks. You're lucky. I had to wait a year between the second and third books and I wanted to explode!
GAH I KNOW. THEY ARE PURE BRILLIANCE.
GAH I KNOW. THEY ARE PURE BRILLIANCE.
I'm so glad I didn't have to do that. Waiting two weeks between the first and second was hard enough.
THEY REALLY REALLY ARE.
THEY REALLY REALLY ARE.
I'm re-reading parts of paper towns because John green is amazing

Anyway, I haven't read it. Though I'd like to.

Ok so i finished torment!!!! and i was so proud of luce. i mean she did that really stupid thing at the end but i understand her reasons. She knew she loved Daniel and that he loved her. and i was ok with that. but she wanted to know why he picked her and loved her and why she loved him, and if all of the pain that Daniel has caused was worth it. i really liked that. nad i totally agree with you, Miles does seem a little gay. i was ssooooo mad when she let Miles kiss her just because she and daniel were fighting and he was a nice friend. and omg thanksgiving was sssoooo awkward lol

I haven't read that but I intend to ... I know Sherman Alexie is a good writer soooo yeah.

My mom is in love with that book.
I'm reading through my collection of Thomas Ligotti stories (I always seem to be doing that) and I still love it. He has risen to be possibly my favorite horror writer of all time, though horror is a bad word for him. He is just a master of weird fiction.

And I GUESS I am in love with that book. But not as much as I love the PENDERWICKS! I am obsessed with that book.
I got the Clockwork Angel today! Eep!!

an ARC of The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney
Fifth book of the year, including The Grapes of Wrath, which I only actually read half of this year, after reading the first half in 2010 XD
SPFFFT. 'Here you are. Drink up.'
'Thanks. SHULGSHULGSPAHHH ... Whew. Ah.'
'You were thirsty.'
'So then if I sit down you'll fill me in?'
'...professional conversationalist knows his mucous membranes, after all.'
'I might have to burp a little bit in a second, from the soda. I'm alerting you ahead of time.'
'Hal, you are here because I am a professional conversationalist, and your father has made an appointment with me, for you, to converse.'
'MYURP. Excuse me.'
Tap tap tap tap.
'SHULGSPAHHH.'
Tap tap tap tap.
'You're a professional conversatoinalist?'
That is from the book Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, which I am reading at the mo'. Yeah, I am in love with it.

But the detail was kind of fun to read.

I've been meaning to read Infinite Jest for a while, but it looks so...intimidating and huge.

It deserves the intimidation. I'd honestly suggest waiting before reading it for a while. It's not only massive, but hard as poop to read at parts.

Paha, that's a good point. I'm going to be stuck reading this thing probably until the last David Foster Wallace book is released, at which time I'll be forced to buy that...Dang.

oh well. As long as you still want to read it, then it shouldn't be too much of a chore.
(Eh, not necessarily true I suppose. I know that now after reading The Grapes of Wrath)
I am pumped reading this. Something about needing to use three bookmarks on a book the size of a baby gets me all excited.
Well you need one for your current spot, but then you want one for a page that has a timeline and one for where you are in the footnotes, which take up about a 10th of the book.
Yeah...I just got the first chapter to really start using them. It's a bit terrifying when you go to read a quick footnote only to find out that it's 10 pages long in size 9 font. Strike that, it's COMPLETELY terrifying.

I'm reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare.

:O So is Autumn

Just saw it randomly at the library and read the first twenty pages then and there. Then I was like, "yeah, it seems I enjoy this book, it'd better borrow it even though I'm still reading something else..."

you didn't like Gone???? nooooo lol I know tons of people who hated it and I have no real reason why I loved it"
Hated it. Bad writing, too many characters, too many plots rolled into one. It was like an amateur 12-year-old kid trying to write a story and squishing every imaginable plot twist into it.
