Nicole Kathryn They are amazing!!!

message 52: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished my book, finally.

message 53: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn That's interesting. I'm reading The Last Book in the Universe. It's really good.

message 54: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Cool! I'm reading The Two Towers again.

message 55: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I finished the last book in the universe! Now I'm reading The Knife of Never Letting Go.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool!

message 57: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments You read fast; or are they easy and really fast pace?

message 58: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 24, 2011 09:28AM) (new)

I read pretty fast, but my books are so long that I seem normal paced. I think Nicole reads fast because"the knife..." is 400 pages or something.

message 59: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I read the last book in the universe in a day and a half, it was like 300 pages. This one I'll probably finish on Saturday or something.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished a book 126 pages in 2 days. :)

message 61: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments I seem to read at the same pace no matter what. I have to read a long time to get a bunch of books done. I also read multiple books at a time as well. If you've looked at my profile you already see... never mind my profile is private (because I'm under 18 which is dumb. I like other people to see what I've read).

message 62: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments All right. Any other books people like?

message 63: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Connor wrote: "All right. Any other books people like?"

I like Markus Zusak's The Book Thief.

message 64: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Cool! Didn't we already say that one?

message 65: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Oh... I guess we did. Okay then, I like Suzanne Collins' Gregor the Overlander books.

message 66: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments How long is that series?

message 67: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn There's five books, I think.

message 68: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Cool. :)

message 69: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I can't think of any more books at the top of my head, even though I've read like 200.

message 70: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments I've only read 102 books. ;( Or is it 103...

message 71: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I just finished Jane Eyre!

message 72: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Was it good? I have to read it soon (actually want to, not have to).

message 73: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn It was AMAZING. Seriously. I wasn't expecting it to be, but I found it intriguing and exciting. The gothic elements are much stronger than people think.

message 74: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Good. My dad likes it better than Pride and Prejudice and that was a really good book, so I decided I'll read it soon.

message 75: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I read Pride and Prejudice too, and I thought it was great. But Jane Eyre is definitely better.

message 76: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Awesome! have you read Wuthering Heights?

message 77: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn No, not yet, but I've been meaning too. Is it good?

message 78: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments I don't know. I haven't read it yet. I was hoping you would.

message 79: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Nope. But I hear it's pretty good.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

Connor wrote: "Awesome! have you read Wuthering Heights?"

I just bought that book! But I fell asleep reading it. :( Who is telling the story?

message 81: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I'm going to get it at the library. Hope it gets better. :(

message 82: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments My mom told me she started it a couple weeks ago, but I haven't heard about it since.

message 83: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Hmmm... well, I'm still going to read it.

message 84: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments Yeah. I don't usually start a book unless I'm going to finish it.

message 85: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Pretty much the opposite for me. :)

message 86: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments That's probably why you've read more than me. You might just give up on a book and read an interesting one while I trudge though dumb books for months.

message 87: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn But I only mark them as read if I've read the whole thing. I'd have about double if not.

message 88: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments I'd have an extra quarter of my books.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

I'd have 2 extra books.

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

I never read a book unless it interests me. I couldn't bear it if I didn't read a book I bought w/ my own money, so I'll have to finish it.

message 91: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Same. The last book I bought ANGEL, the most recent Maximum Ride.

message 92: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 03, 2011 06:40PM) (new)

I like Maximum Ride. Who's your favorite of the 6 main characters?

message 93: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Hmm.... what book are you on? :P

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished the 2nd one. I like Nudge best.

message 95: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Cool. I like Gazzy. He's so exactly like my youngest brother it's creepy.

message 96: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments I guess I should read them so I know what you guys are talking about. I used to like The Inheritance Cycle until Brisingr ruined it for me. In fact it ruined books for me until I got a Goodreads account in December. I haven't really read anything for two years until I got this awesome account.

message 97: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn I didn't think Brisingr was all that bad. I actually had to read it for my middle school writing class. We were all like eleven!!! Can you believe that?!?

message 98: by Connor (new)

Connor Kinkade (connork) | 1324 comments It was Brisingr. That was gross but some parts made me mad. I don't remember why because I erased it from my memory. I also was getting angrier and angrier because he started to mimic The Lord of the Rings. That made me the angriest. His description of the elves, his dwarf language, his elvish language, his Ellesmara, Everything!

message 99: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Kathryn Yeah, that sucked. I mean, seriously! I felt like I was reading Tolkein's series all over again!

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't notice that. Of course, that was before reading LOTR, so, yeah...
