Heyas Angus. I personally love the Dresden files, can't wait for the next one to hit.

You might also want to try out the Nightside Series, MHI Series and/or Peter Grant Series.

@Jeff, go for the next Mistborn book. The series is well worth putting off other reads :P

Angus | 6 comments Thanks Ala, they all look pretty good to me, that kinda urban fantasy genre seems really appealing. Would you happen to know of any sci fi novels similar to electric church/snow crash? I had never tried sci fi before these 2 and i just found them so great and immersive, and i especially enjoyed their pace, gotta hate it when books take so long to develop.

Honestly, my SciFi credentials are rather lacking at this point. I've read and loved Snow Crash, but haven't found anything else really similar.

Though Armor is a quick and action packed read, but it's Military SciFi.

Might be worth taking a look at the cyberpunk genre - William Gibson or Pat Cadigan, or post-cyberpunk Moxyland by Lauren Beukes. They have a similar feel to Snow Crash.

Must resist... Must resist...

I blocked them all out by reading various prologues and introductions to books I mean to read or re-read. King's updated intro to The Gunslinger was interesting; he and most people I know prefer the revised edition over the original, as his new version matches the later books in style. I liked the first edition, didn't make it too far into the later books. Trying to be ready for the TV series by getting a least a few volumes read this summer.

Angus, as Sc has already recommend, William Gibson might be a good match. Some years ago a group of my friends and I all read Neuromancer, Mirrorshades: The Cyberpunk Anthology and Snow Crash within a year and found many enjoyable similarities.

Stuart Jaffe | 13 comments Okay, it's really June 1st, but I'll put it here because I started the book a few days ago. I'm reading The Lord of the Sands of Time by Issui Ogawa which is Japanese SF about AI/clone "Messengers" being sent back in time to help humanity prepare for an alien invasion that, if not stopped, will pretty much decimate us. A fun read, so far.

Ami Blackwelder (amirblackwelder) | 0 comments I have a big list for this coming month of June ... I want to read Linger, Strange Angels, Momentum, Spirit Storm, and then read my own saga Shifter Evolutions : books 1-5 to decide on how to end the series.

I also want to read The Tale of the Vampire Bride (thick book) and some of the novels from an unknown author Mac, who wrote My Dark Love, and Imogen Roses's Faustine.

Just to name a few.
:)
