I picked Atlanta in my work pool and I end up winning $50 cuz everyone picked NYG for tomorrow... woohoo!!!!

And yet it looks like my pick of ATL was the only one in our group.

I picked ATL in my money pool and Philly here... I like both teams. looks like I made the right pick for a change... :)

week 3 has some good match ups. Philly v Giants should be good. Green Bay v Chicago and Dallas v Washington are always entertaining. I will probably go with Tennessee over my Broncos this week.

I predict the Dillon Panthers will go all the way to the playoffs and Tim Riggins will cut his beautiful long hair.

? Not seeing this, Petra, C and I tied last week, but all had different scores this week.

That web site is freaking me out. I don't understand what the fuck it's doing today.

I was looking at the "Weekly Performance" section and, at the time, it showed three teams with eighty-something the first week and 111 the second week. Now it's all fucked up with everything red and it's got a category for "dropped points."

I don't fucking understand. All I want to see is total points for the season (first two weeks added together). WHERE IS IT?

Nope. No can do. Every week counts, bud.

Actually they drop your worst week off. For most that was the first week, that is why your total and placement right now for most is your second week total.

Why is every single score (including week 3) crossed off and in red?

And by the way, dropping the worst week is a pansy-ass way to do things.

I don't mind the system -- I've done confidence points before. In the initial reading of the league I missed the "dropped week" part. I think it's for sissies, but them's the rules so that's how we'll play.

I like the confidence points system. I don't follow the NFL so it'd be too easy for me to just pick winners based on home field advantage and the point spread. With the confidence points system I have to do a little research to decide why I'm picking one game over another which is not only fun but gives me little bits of watercooler information I wouldn't otherwise have.

i pick on gut feeling and how hot a team or QB is. i don't mind the confidence points or the dropped week only because i will go along with however it was set up to begin with

Yes. I try to pick at least two upsets each week and, when they come in, it's a big plus for my score (see Atlanta last week). I've been lucky and hit a couple each week, but now that strategy is (ever so slightly) penalized because those who lost OODLES of points on big favorites get to drop that loss. Who knows? I may never hit an upset again.

phil - i think you should pick whoever is playing NE each week to try to capitalize on an upset

The announcer at my daughters' volleyball game called out to the crowd for a Lions update. Somebody yelled back, "Minnesota 13, Lions nothing and the Lions look like crap!" I've been out all day and just found out the final score. I figured they were toast, especially playing in Minnesota.

Bengals & Chiefs have kicked me in the nuts so far. I did pick Carolina over CHI as an upset so that was my fault. This week is gonna suck for me.

I am so pissed at myself and my FIL. I told him early in the week that KC was going to be my 3-point pick this week, and that's exactly where I had them until 10:00 last night. That's when he finally talked me out of it, and I took the Vikes for 5.

I'm a fucking asshole for letting him talk me out of it.
