This just in: Tim Tebow to distribute fish and loaves to the masses and anoint the sick at halftime of this Sunday's game against the Pats.
right before he goes from clark kent to superman and wins the game?
And shortly before causing the staff of ESPN's Sportscenter to cream its collective jeans.

i like it. in the current climate of 75% of sports news being about arrests, PED's, domestic violence and other assorted crappola i think that tebow is a fun distraction and great story
what Kevin said. and being in Denver this is so much more than football... He is a rookie QB and still has much to learn. But his enthusiasm, his leadership, his work ethic, and his actions off the field.. how can you not admire and root for someone like Tim Tebow?! He is a goldmine for the Broncos, restaurants and sports bars, etc.

besides sucking with my picks, i forgot to put in my confidence points. i got a whopping 8 points for the week. the kicker is that is not my lowest weekly total so far so i can't drop it. *sadtrombone*

Dear football people,Why do commentators insist on using that incredibly annoying phrase "on the day" over and over and over again?
He has twenty interceptions on the day.

I get that they are differentiating between that particular day and ever, but I still think there is a better way of saying it.

Oh, Charly! Yes, thank goodness I worked yesterday. The entire team stunk it up yesterday and our defensive secondary is really banged up. Hopefully, they got it out of their system and left it all in Buffalo because next week will be the Orton/Tebow showdown for the AFC West championship

charlie - if not to belabor.....i suck at this. primarily because i have forgotten a whole week of picks once and also forgotten to put confidence points next to my picks once (due to making my gridiron transaction on a phone screen that was 2x3) and secondly because i have a hard time picking teams/people/coaches i hate even if i do think they are the better team. i suck. did i say that?
well, I think this year has been fun and a much needed distraction. Like everything else in life, a little luck goes a long way. There are so many pools online we could play, so lets mark our calendars for August 2012 and we can scope out the offerings. Did anyone join a fantasy league? We have plenty of people to do that and we could do a draft via an online chat... anywho something to think about.. My Denver Nuggets are looking young and fierce and baseball is just around the corner. Broncos need to win Sunday!
Hard week to pick games, some teams can rest players but will they? Some teams really need to show up, but will the pressure get to them?I'll gladly play next year, whatever the group decides will work for me.

Not sure, I think probably not. My BIL and I are thinking about going on a midwest tour to games to all the Baseball stadiums(Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Tigers, Twins, Cards and Royals) instead of going to AZ. I suppose we will have to decide soon. My other BIL in the area wants to go back out to AZ. We'll see.
I'd like to take my family to AZ for spring training. We'll see how the FIL is doing when the time comes -- maybe we can get away for a few days.Mariner's spring training is where I first met my wife in person.

I am having trouble making my play-off pics. I have the option to pick confidence points such as 3.2,6.4, 9.6 or 12.8 as well as 16. When I try to attach 16-it says that it is an invalid confidence point. When I leave one score blank it says my pics aren't complete and won't save them.WTF?
We have to keep going? I've been giving it zero thought (see this week's results for proof) and thinking it was over. Hmmm.
I included the playoffs because I figured everyone would be watching anyway. If you would rather not participate, that is ok. We can have a winner for the season and one for the playoffs for those that want to continue. NYG vs ATL is going to be a good game :) and of course my Broncos may just have another miracle in their pocket!

I was listening on the radio, and switched it to a different channel after regulation, as I was only 5 minutes or so from home, and planned on watching the OT when I got there. I turn on the TV and the game is already over. Congrats to the Broncos, I really didn't think they had much of a chance.
