Sure I can (Said the spider (black widow?) to the fly)... I'll be right out. (after I do some work around the house...(sigh) I'm healing to fast.

And I'll have to put this on my TBR now.

You won't be disapointed if you liked the first book. I didn't like this one as much as I did the third and fourth, in the series (fifth coming out soon!)
I like his adopted daughter, especially when she's interacting (or interfering) with Patrick. (He kind of needs her to look more like a human and less like a grumpy old monk waiting meet God. She's the most interesting character in the bunch in my opinion. (Though her and Patrick have a symbiotic relationship that probably means neither would look interesting without the other for very long.)

Yea and when I read about him and (why can't I remember the girl's name, she's one of my favorite Characters in the Series!)his daughter, creatively put together in the only way something like that would have worked.
I can't wait for "Queen" (which may actually be out already, but, not in Kindle format (DARN IT!).
Between his daughter, his "Profiler" (yea, those are expressed as "finger Quotes") and the other women in his life, it makes you wonder if this guy was raised around women.)

That's her! Man... you saved me from one of those "Catch 22 Moments" where I walk around mumbling "I'll remember that girls name before I look it up in the book if it's the last thing I do. HEY, You Kids! Get out of my YARD!" It almost switched me to grumpy old man mode.

I'm so behind on things I want to read and I keep finding MORE! Thank you Nancy!

I have a list a mile long of want to reads. And seem to add more daily...LOL

Lately my memory is running about a day behind. I keep remembering names or titles about a day after I bring it into conversation.
About those kids...I guess since I'm the person in my neighborhood screaming at the kids that makes me a grumpy old man...huh. Who knew.
It explains so much.

There's a little bit of the Great Crumudgeon in all of us. It just needs a voice to come out.

My pastor warns me not to become the old man on the block who keeps the kid's ball when it lands in his yard. So far, I'm not. But then we don't have a lot of kids in this neighborhood.
I guess I'll find out how many on Halloween.

You know, my library only has one of the Locke, Donovan Creed books and it's a later one so i don't want to start there. Maybe I'll break down and try them later.
Since most of them are cheap on the kindle $0.99 or so. I got all-a lot of them.
One of the reviews I read on Lethal People, included an interview with John Locke. He is actually a very interesting guy.

You're lucky Mike. We're one of only two houses on our street with no kids. Our immediate neighbors kids think it's okay to leave bikes, scooters, balls, etc. in our driveway, yard or front porch. So I've started either throwing their stuff out or giving it to friends with kids.
Some of them also like shooting pellet guns at our cat. It's easy to be the 'mean old man' on the street.
I shoot pellet guns...but not at cats. I live in Metro Nashville, so air guns are the only legal target option I have.
Ween I first moved here there were kids playing across our lawn (no big deal really, my jokes aside). They seem to have moved (though if this were a "B horror" movie something else might be afoot, dum, dum, dum). Anyway...the only kids who live close now are like a block away. The only problem I know of is my daughter says they're bad to just run out into the street.

Did you like the book?"
Hugh I did like the book. Donovan Creed was an awesome character such a bad good guy. It was another one of those books that I couldn't put down. Just had to finish it.

I liked it too. The good guys were a little badder than I'm used to, but something about them was endearing. I'm glad you liked it. If your a Kindle person, ten bucks and you can get all of them for your kindle (lots of Donovan Creed books.)

WHen I was born, my father was the Minister of the First Christian Church of Bedford in the early 1960s. He's moved on to other things. We moved to Johnstown PA when I was 3 or 4. I'm not sure of all the names of places. I've visited my Uncle several times.
Currently reading Grimspace. Me/here/now point of view expirement isn't my favorite (First Person plus present tense). The story is good and Jax is a tough cookie. I'm enjoying it. I'd like to have seen her do as JA Konrath did with his "ebook" when he wrote a Jack Daniel's story that jumped to different places in time. Konrath included a copy (on the Kindle Version) that had everything follow a linier timeline and in proper order for those who wanted to read it.
I liked the original version, but having the choice was nice.
The books edgy (in a good way) but reminds me of that movie Molly Ringworld made with Peter Fonda and Micheal Ironside. (Not a fair comparison mind you, but that's what keeps coming in my head as I read/listen to it.
It's a fun read so far. Even with the Me-here-now point of view.

Oh, yea, and "Queen" is now availible on Kindle and I have it! (Patrick Bowers series). The Queen: A Patrick Bowers Thriller Oh, yeah.
Good. I'm going to have to create two new shelves. the TBR-Priority shelf, (those in the cue to move into read books and the "Hot BOOK, comin' through" pile for jumping books to the head of the waiting line.
