I've put up the new thread for the weather challenge: Whatever the Weather v.2
I hope I didn't forget anything important. :)

Either of the suggestions of the contest sound good, though I think with ebooks it might be a bit difficult for people from different countries (e.g. I can't order books for my Kindle from the US Amazon site, only from the German one); dunno how it is with other sites and formats.

I have to admit, I'm a Twitter-virgin, so I'll have to look into that at some point. ;) I hang out on FB a lot, though, so I can post through that.

Do we want to keep challenges started by "deleted member"? I see one in the Yearly folder.

Is it one that was popular? If so one of us could redo it...

Isn't it only the Whatever the Weather thing? I've already put up a new thread for it. *points to post 151 above* :) Not everyone has transferred their lists over from the old thread yet, though - maybe you could put it in the next Factory Report, Shell? :)

Will do Denise, I have most of the next FR set up and ready to go out, just waiting to get all of the monthly challenges up and going.

On another note, are any of y'all using a MacBook? I just got one this weekend so I'm relearning how to use the computer lol. I can't figure out now how to copy the url for a picture. Before I always right clicked on the image and pulled up the properties but it's different on a Mac. Any ideas?

No clue. I'm a PC. lol :)

I use a Mac...where are you trying to pull the picture from? Like from the internet? Because I can still right click and choose copy image URL. My fiance has had Macs for years now and is very comfortable...I'm a bit more like you, I have only had one for about 6, 7 months now and I am still relearning everything! But I can always ask him for ya!

I usually go to google images but I think I got it worked out. The first couple I tried I think were wayward ones that don't work good anyways.

On another note, I was thinking maybe on the factory employee of the month we ought to open up a nomination and a vote kind of like RIME's member of the month?

Jenne that sounds like a good idea. I just never figured out an easy way to do it and it just sets there.

Also I wanted to let you guys know that I have been moving and we will not be actually moved in to the new place till next wed. We are finally completely out of the old and everything is in storage...bluh. I have been sooo busy a lot of my Mod duties fell to the way side, but I WILL get caught up. I plan on going to B&N tomorrow during the day so that I can use wi-fi and get some stuff taken care of! Sorry for any innocence this has caused:(

I HATE moving! I could never move again but My fiancee has restless feet and I know that we will be doing this a lot. I told him when we move to Vegas next summer we are hiring movers!!!

Also my phone auto corrected inconvenience to innocence...lol

I'll set up a nomination for the Employee of the Month then for November :)

Good luck with the move, Shelly. We just got home from a week down in Georgia. So I'm behind, too. I'm going to try to get caught up tomorrow or maybe Sunday after church.

One more week to go and words with friends is over. I'm gonna set up a feedback thread for it and try to get a feel for when round 2 should start.

Would one of you be able to take over You Want Me to Read What? this month. I have to head out of town for the rest of the week and I don't have time to fix the list and make sure everyone has their books chosen for November. I will really appreciate it if someone can help. Well help not a problem Jennifer! I guess I'll go ahead and set up Novembers buddy read and monthly challenge? Shell hasn't checked in I know she was having moving and Internet issues. I think everyone would be mad at us if they weren't there next month. Both are pretty highly participated challenges.

Jenne, if you do those two I can take the You Want Me To Read What? challenge. I finally have some room to breathe again after a few pretty stressful weeks, so it's about time I make myself useful around here again. :)

I went through it this am and so far everyone is good. I guess if she'll doesn't pop in tonight we can handle the buddy read and monthly tomorrow.

Denise will you send a mass message out today that the buddy read thread is up. I just tried to and I hit enter instead of delete so it sent out a blank message to the entire group! It will only allow you to do this once a day :(

I cleaned out the monthlies and sent and straightened the second chance folders. Towards the end of this month I'll start putting together round 2 of WWGRF. It doesn't appear that the holidays are going to be a problem from the feedback of all the players.

Shell How you doing? Did you get settled in? Moving is such a pain in the butt!

I'm thinking of putting together some kind of mini challenge for the holidays. Seems like we should start gearing towards holidayish stuff. What do y'all think?

I was thinking about putting up a holiday mini challenge based on the 12 days of Christmas to last between now and the end of December. Sound good or too cheesy?

I'd say go for it! Everybody needs a bit of cheesy stuff in their lives, anyway, especially for the holidays. ;)

Should we have 2013 editions for some of the more general yearly challenges, like the 100 Book Genre Challenge and the Alphabet Challenge? I could do one or both of them, if you like. :)

Sounds good to me! I was thinking of putting together one for all 50 states for 2013 too. Crazy it's about to be 2013!

I've had a couple people ask for 2013 editions. I told them I'd get them up by December, but if someone else wants to do them I'm okay with that. I can't find my motivation atm. Bleh.

100 Book Genre Challenge - 2013 is up, Alphabet Challenge will follow some time during the week. :)

Scavenger Hunt IV is ending next month. Does someone want to work on V or do I need to get the list together? Or have we already covered this? lol Sorry. I'm trying to get caught up. ☺

No we haven't even discussed it yet, I'm flexible if one of y'all wants to or if you don't want to, etc. I'm good with it. I made the last list too easy IMO.

I always make it too hard. :) I can make a list this time. I've had the last few lists off.

I wonder if we ought to make a separate folder for yearly challenges that are for 2013. And keep the ones that are a year from when you sign up in the yearly folder?

Okay so I think I will be able to start using the fricking computer again!!! I am SOOO sorry that I have left you guys high and dry but our internet situation has been SH**!!! Just when we think we have it under control it goes out again...and I just can't use my phone app to do anything constructive...I am going to spend the next couple of days getting caught up on post the best I can and then start getting my challenges out....

Again I'm sorry...I have like 1700 emails so it will take me a couple days but I promise I'm back!!!

Sounds good Jennifer! Someone was asking about series challenges the other day too. Glad your back Shell! It's hard to do much more than pop in on your phone. I'm going to set up a 50 states challenge for 2013, ill get a winter seasonal one going in the next couple if weeks too. I was debating on doing a weight loss challenge in the non reading section for 2013 too. New Years resolutions and all. What do y'all think?

I started the Series folder and posted 3 new challenges. I have a list of the ones I'm going to do, but I'm out of time to do them today. I have to get my butt out of this chair or I'll waste another day. :) Let me know what you think and what other series you'd like to see.

I'm still having a hard with internet...thought it was under control but I have been kicked off several times today:( I am SO sick of this, I have urges to throw the Macs out the window!

We have really great Lib. up here though and lots of work stations so maybe I can sneak away for a few hours here and there to start getting caught up!

Shell do you want any of us to help with the monthlies?

Shell I'm going to go ahead & set up Dec. Buddy Read thread. A couple of people have asked about it. If you get your internet resolved and want to take it over when you do get it working you won't step on my toes lol :)

Thanks jenne, I'll do the TCF Challenge and I can just take over the Buddy Read in Janurary, plus I'll get my folders updated and cleaned up for the month and then see what else I need to do. Let me know if you need or want help with it though! I'm still getting caught up but I am A LOT closer now! That was a chore I'm telling you!

For the 2nd Chance challenges, Should we start archiving the originals and posting a fresh/clean version in the folder? I'd like to say I had some great reason why, but really they're just messy and it drives me crazy so I tend to avoid that folder. lol

Yea I know & it doesn't really seem like anyone really does them after they go there. I've been keeping them cleaned out so there's not "too much" & it's overwhelming in there. But it still seems like no one really wants to mess with them once they're over.
