Diane (ladydi4476) I agree I was surprised it took them so long to find the prison as well. Six months is a long time to be circling around without shelter!

My fave character remains Rick. I like Daryl too...and I actually liked Shane even though he became a huge annoyance by the end. He kept things intense and certainly said what the audience sometimes felt.

Carl wasn't too bad in the season opener. I didn't have the urge to see his head bitten off for once :)

John (johnpeters2) | 15 comments But you have to admit, Carl would still be the preferred zombie bait if they needed any! :)

message 103: by Jaded (new)

Jaded (jadedmage) | 37 comments this is probably my most favorite show ever on TV!

Diane (ladydi4476) Jaded wrote: "this is probably my most favorite show ever on TV!"

Agree! And I'm watching like four different cable shows now. But this one is my favorite! :-D

message 105: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments I love it too! I do also enjoy a couple of HBO shows though. But for regular cable? Walking Dead Rules!

message 106: by Jason (new)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments The Walking Dead is, I'd say, my second favorite, which is right now tied with American Horror Story and Dexter.

My favorite is Boardwalk Empire. I just love that show!

message 107: by Jaded (new)

Jaded (jadedmage) | 37 comments oo Dexter is great also! I think his sister is going to become like him or he is going to have to kill her too!

message 108: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments Jason, isn't BE so good?
OMG, when the FBI guys wife (view spoiler).
I was SHOCKED, I tell ya. SHOCKED!
It was AWESOME!

message 109: by Renee (new)

Renee (elenarenee) I admit the season opener had me worried. There was too much zombie smashing and not enough story.

I am a huge zombie story fan. Yet I get bored with nothing but zombie battles. You need the people. You need the drama.

I am an epsiode behind. But I do admit to being creeped out by the pregnancy.

message 110: by Jason (new)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments Charlene, that entire episode of BE was insane! I loved that scene, though. Quietly disturbing.

message 111: by S.M. (new)

S.M. Oberhansley (smober) | 57 comments Renee, I'm with you on that. Something about being pregnant during the heat of the zombie apocalypse is just so freaky.

message 112: by Keith (new)

Keith Chawgo (kchawgo) I am loving The Walking Dead but still hate the nuclear family. Hopefully, they will mellow them out a bit. So far so good. Let's hope they keep up the momentum this year.

TJ (coachtim30) | 41 comments S. wrote: "Renee, I'm with you on that. Something about being pregnant during the heat of the zombie apocalypse is just so freaky."

I agree and I think a lot of other viewers do too. That's probably why this season started out with her near delivery.

message 114: by Ian (new)

Ian McClellan | 540 comments Anyone else hoping the scenario where the baby eats itself out of her plays out? That would be some awesome television.

Megan (trixiekitten) | 133 comments Ian wrote: "Anyone else hoping the scenario where the baby eats itself out of her plays out? That would be some awesome television."

I'm pretty sure somewhere on the commentary for the 1st episode in season 2, Robert Kirkman *promises* we will see a zombie baby... at some point. ;)

message 116: by MJ (new)

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments I can't wait to see how disgusting they make The Governor on the show and oooh Michonne, please don't let me down.

message 117: by MJ (new)

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments I really wanted to love BE but it bores the shit out of me.

message 118: by S.M. (new)

S.M. Oberhansley (smober) | 57 comments Who watched last night's episode? What did you think?

(view spoiler) How do you feel about them straying from the comics?

message 119: by Chris (new)

Chris (flahorrorwriter) | 2844 comments Don't read the comic, but loved last night's ep. Thought the Governer's character is very interesting so far...

message 120: by Steve (new)

Steve Chaput (stevec50) Initially it bothered me that the series strayed from the book, but as it went on I was happy to have surprises along the way.

It will be interesting to see how close or far the new season strays from the comic. I think it was a smart decision to keep to the Governor storyline for the initial episode to introduce the new characters.

I think the thing with Michonne will still happen.

message 122: by Leigh (new)

Leigh Lane (leighmlane) | 74 comments I think they've done a good job tying in aspects to the graphic novels, straying just far enough to keep everyone guessing.

message 123: by Steve (new)

Steve Chaput (stevec50) I'm sometimes worried about giving away things I've read in the book to folks who are only watching the show. On the other hand, Kirkman & Co. have made enough changes that you really don't know what to expect. (i.e. Dale's fate and Shane's are quite different in the book).

message 124: by MJ (new)

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments The thing with Michonne, uggh....so horrible and I don't think the Rick thing is happening either.

message 125: by MJ (new)

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments Wow!

message 126: by Chris (new)

Chris (flahorrorwriter) | 2844 comments Indeed...that was one helluva dark episode last night...

message 127: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments OMG Last night's episode ROCKED!

message 128: by Jaded (new)

Jaded (jadedmage) | 37 comments Charlene wrote: "OMG Last night's episode ROCKED!"

Im still shocked!

message 129: by Steve (new)

Steve Chaput (stevec50) You can never be sure when Kirkman will return to something from the book, but this is a turning point.

message 130: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Williams (Daniel_Williams) | 73 comments I had to watch last night's episode twice. That was some of the best zombie horror I have ever seen. The writing, acting, and special effects on that show are excellent.

message 131: by 11811 (Eleven) (new)

11811 (Eleven) (11811) | 1561 comments Great episode but I preferred Lori's narrative in the graphic novel - the biggest "holy shit" moment in the entire story - but perhaps it was too taboo for TV.

message 132: by Jason (last edited Nov 05, 2012 04:59PM) (new)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments That episode really did rock. Even had tears in my eyes at the end.

I mean, wow! Hardcore or what?

message 133: by Steve (new)

Steve Chaput (stevec50) Only three episodes in and the season is kicking butt. Think it's all building to the meeting of Rick and The Governor.

message 134: by Jaded (new)

Jaded (jadedmage) | 37 comments Hands down the BEST series EVER created! I dont think it could be better if it were on HBO or showtime!

message 135: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments I had tears in my eyes too.

How about the special effects of that throat tearing scene? My husband got disgusted and walked out of the room for a minute. I was laughing...because it looked SO real!

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments That throat tearing scene was impressive! Had me cringing. What a horrible way to go!

message 137: by MJ (new)

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments Andrew Lincoln is amazing.

message 138: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments Zombette, he is! Though I just read in Rolling Stone that he doesn't watch the show because he doesn't like to see himself acting.
Weird, huh?

message 139: by Diane (new)

Diane (ladydi4476) Zombette wrote: "Andrew Lincoln is amazing."

That he is! His acting in that last episode was brilliant. I had tears in my eyes.

message 140: by Char (new)

Char | 17459 comments I did too. Twice! (view spoiler)

It was such a good episode.

message 141: by Jason (new)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments That piece of acting was brilliant. (view spoiler)

message 142: by Dodge (new)

Dodge Winston | 29 comments Finally got caught up and the way Lori went was super sad and powerful too. That episode had to be the heaviest out of both seasons. CRAZY!

As far as the guvner and his little niche goes... well I see death coming to him a mile away. It's as clear as the day is long.

I also didn't know Sophia was in the barn. What a sad ending to that episode.

Steve Chaput (stevec50) Yeah, as soon as I heard the phone ring I knew where they were going. Rick has gone over the edge.
