Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I suppose you could play it with woolly mammoths as well then.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Water polo with ducks would be fun.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You're quackers!

message 254: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments How big must the hoops be for elephant croquet?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Pretty darn big! What is the circumference of your average elephant?

message 256: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments About 75% of a wooly mammoth, I believe.

message 257: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Elephant salami and cured elephant hams would last several years, thinking about it. So an elephant would not just be for Christmas, it would last you for life. ;-)

Jim | 21812 comments Will wrote: "About 75% of a wooly mammoth, I believe."

is that before or after tax?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Are mammoths taxed? What do they pay in?

message 260: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments At their size, they pay however they choose...

Hmmm good point.

I think we should post our favourite elephant recipes here in Will's thread.

All mine call for baby elephants but I suppose we could just increase the rest of the ingredients...

message 262: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Is Amazon a mammoth then?

Patti, I think if we eat the babies we'll starve when the rest of them die off...

message 263: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments It is ecologically unsound to eat baby elephants.

And, they don't fit in the casserole dish

message 264: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Good point, both of you.

As a Canadian I'll stick to the baby seals.

Kidding!!!

I'd never eat a baby seal!

They give me terrible heartburn.

message 265: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments *Speechless*

You stick to eating Inuit instead?

message 266: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments It's about time to get excited.

The Kindle file of The Vampire Mechanic is now on my computer!

(Shame I can't open the damn thing.)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I would be excited if it was on mine!

message 275: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments We're getting perilously close to reverting to the elephant conversation...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I didn't see any elephants in Corsica. Loads of cats though...

message 277: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Cats? You want cats? Come to Baku.

I should spend afternoon taking pics of cats here. Then you'll see what I mean.

They're very loved though. Everyone leaves food and water outside for them.

Don't see many rats nor pigeons around either.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Excuse me Will. We're having a conversation here.

Honestly, how rude. You'd think this was his author thread or something.

message 280: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I'm so sorry, Patti.

I'll go and get my wok out.

Authors, scum of the earth if you ask me. Anyway I'm off to spam Amazon. Swords for a Dead Lady is now available with punctuation, and I've a universe to inform :-)
It's the perfect thing to read after you've finished the Vampire Mechanic!

message 282: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Spam away Jim.

It's time you got some spam time under your belt.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Have you got a book or something Will? Why didnt you mention it?

message 286: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I'd rather talk about my big wok.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Is it big enough for a sheep?

message 288: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments *Sheepish look*

Wouldn't you like to know.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Yes. Thats why I asked.

message 290: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Well, why do you want to know?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments A thirst for scientific knowledge.

Jim | 21812 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "A thirst for scientific knowledge."

if it helps to assuage this thirst, E apparently equals MC squared

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments MTM's elephant has sunk my thread.

:(

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Call the elephant disposal team.

message 295: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21812 comments Just paint it pink and no one will talk about it any more because they'll be embarassed to admit they've seen it

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments even better - apply a SEP field

message 297: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I set one of those up, put it down, and lost it....

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments that happens quite a lot, apparently!

message 299: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Perhaps it's not the elephant that was the problem, Will.

According to one zoo troll apparently we're infested by sycophants in our group...

Are they like wooly mammoths?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments are they psychotic elephants?
