Win an ARC of INK by Amanda Sun
I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC of INK by Amanda Sun.
I’m not one to write reviews, but here are three reasons why I loved it:
• the setting—Japan!
• the heroine, Katie, who faces loss and grief with grace and bravery
• the hero, Tomo, because he’s layered and interesting and an artist
There are probably three hundred more, but rather than try and explain, I figure I’ll give you the chance to read and love it for yourself. Fill out the Rafflecopter below for your chance to WIN this a...

Snakes on a…wrist
Here’s a pic of me wearing nephew’s ball python as a bracelet. I posted it on Tumblr, Twitter and FB and the reaction from some people was that they’d be too scared to even touch the snake. I guess everyone has their phobias. I definitely have mine, but they don’t include snakes.
Here, in no particular order are five things that *do* scare me:
1. Arachnophobia: spiders (big or small, doesn’t matter, I’m terrified)
2. centipedes (shudder, shudder and shudder again)
3. Pteromerhanophobia: flying (t...

The Kid in the Orange Hat
I was going through some old files and found this short story. It’s one of my early attempts, written about ten years ago.
“See that kid in the orange hat?” The guy next to me shifted in his sagging lawn chair, inclining his head in the direction of the group of boys running back and forth along the field. He leaned close and whispered, “He’ll be the first one cut.”
“You think?” I looked back at the boys on the muddy field and had to admit that I could see the guy’s point. The kid in the orange...

Books, books and more free books
Last week, I boxed up a ton of my books and mailed them to libraries who welcome non-English language translations. I sent out copies in Japanese, Spanish, German, Thai, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, Portuguese and French.
But even after sending out all those boxes, I still have author copies of a ton of my English backlist books on my shelves. Copies and copies of my backlist. So I want to give them to you. Yes, give. For FREE. And it’s up to...

Too yummy to be healthy
I made this recipe up one night when I needed dinner in a hurry and didn’t have much in the house. It’s fast, easy, yummy and super healthy. Enjoy!

1 cup chopped pecans (No pecans in the house? Try slivered almonds or chopped walnuts)
1-1/2 cups dried cranberries
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved*

Contest: ARC of ASUNDER by Jodi Meadows
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of ASUNDER by Jodi Meadows. Everything I loved about INCARNATE, the first book in this series, is kicked up a notch in this book: the cool and unique world, the characterizations of Ana and Sam, the romance, the twists and turns of the story.
I’m planning to buy the hardcover on release day, so I thought I’d pass this ARC along to one of you. Good luck!
