Three stories from Troll's Eye View reviewed
Not if You Were the Last Short Story on Earth
"An Unwelcome Guest," Garth Nix, Troll's Eye View - a snarky black comedy version of Rapunzel, from the point of view of a long-suffering witch and her cynical cat.
"A Delicate Architecture," Catherynne M. Valente, Troll's Eye View - a beautiful, cruel origin story for one of the most iconic villains of fairy tale tradition - I won't say who, because it would spoil the story experience! But this is one of those lovely precise-prose stories in which e

Tails of Fantasy and the Imagination--cats cats--cover art

Jeremy just sent me the final artwork for my big reprint cat story anthology. The design may change but the art won't. I think it's gorgeous--the stories will run the gamut from mystery and science fiction to fantasy, dark fantasy, and horror. As mentioned in my earlier post, the TOC is shaping up nicely. I'll announce that when it's done.

The best depiction of a magical world that seems "normal" that I've ever seen. Lovely touches. The kids are growing up and becoming more interesting as they grow up. Fine special effects. S
