Sunday at BEA

Today was verrry quiet and almost empty. I found Dark Horse again to give them the book card (I wrote down the booth number so I could find them), met another person there and so we'll see if they can persuade the Lovecraft film festival to help pay my way out to Portland October 2-4th in conjunction with the release of Lovecraft Unbound to be released the 7th.

I wandered through the children's publishing booths and printing booths today just to see what was going on and lots of pads, pens, more

Book Expo so far

I attended yesterday and today, helping to man the HWA table and for two hours in between, walking the floor, scoping things out, picking up catalogs and meeting publicists and getting their cards so that I can contact the correct people for review copies.

The table is not in prime space --at the end of the Exhibition Hall and in the back --in a corner--which once you know where it is, is easy to find (which is nice). But considering it's only our second attendance--last year in LA and this year

Joining Dreamwidth

So...I'm now on LJ and Dreamwidth, which means all my posts should appear on both blogs simultaneously if all goes well.

My user name is ellen_datlow the same as on LJ. Anyone who would like an invite over here let me know -I have no idea how many invites I get.

The reason I've done this is:
Live Journal has been bought by a Russian company and the new owners have dismissed all about a few of the LJ tech employees. Many LJ owners are afraid that 1) the owners might pull the plug at any time and 2)
